Not really. Halo 3 is light years better on MCC and if you care about halo 3 ranks in the year 2017, than you need to be lobotomised.
Only bonus is that you can play firefight now.
The hit detection for Halo 3 MCC is far worse than the OG version.

This game does one thing spectacularly, and that is alienating solo players even more than the first
-playing PvP is a team shooting shit fest
-still no access to nightfalls, trials, raid, can't replay story missions without a fireteam (fixed)
-guided games is absolutely useless, unless you don't mind being queued for an hour
-clan benefits are overwhelming, essentially giving free high level gear
-many heroic public events are (almost) impossible to complete or even trigger alone
If you're a solo player you can enjoy playing low level strikes endlessly. Fun.
engrams and factions cap at 265 so you have to do raids and nightfalls to increase your light
