It's been proven that for a healthy upbringing you need a mother AND a father, not MM, or FF. There needs to be a balance. I see no problem with the judge's order.
By that logic, single fathers and single mothers should have their children taken away and placed with a different family.

The Flood / Re: What's your view on tipping?
« on: November 12, 2015, 01:42:09 AM »
It's a shit system, but not agreeing with it doesn't change the fact that those people are making like $3/hr without it.
Not at all restaurants. Some servers make minimum wage plus tips. And I'm pretty sure that, in the event that they pay a decreased wage and a server does not make enough money in tips to amount to minimum wage, the restaurant has to make up the difference. That is how it was at a restaurant I worked at about 10 years ago.

I'm living overseas now, and tipping is not required because servers make a living wage.

Serious / Re: I have a question for leftists who defend Islam.
« on: November 11, 2015, 03:29:22 PM »
I have no problems with Islam, but a problem with anyone who is an extremist. All religion is pretty silly to me, but its history is revealing and serves a purpose. Most people know nothing about Islam but the bits they gather on Wikipedia. Unfortunately, even if someone -a member from the group perhaps- were to read the Quran, their interpretation of the text would be subject to a type of asymmetric ignorance with perceptions colored by previous experiences.

Oh yeah, this thread was about something else than noods at first

I mean, sexual chemistry is important in a relationship.
Yarly. I do not understand how couples who have a bad sex life stay together.

I miss the old Flood sometimes, but I'm too new to this site to have much of a comparison.

I do not work anymore, but when I did, I was paid decently well and saved frequently.

There are lots of things on my mind. Right now though: The UN Security Council and recourse to permanent members that wreck shit without UN support.

Urban now. I've never lived in a city before, so it is quite an experience. I like that I can get anywhere by bike.

Separation of Church and State is a myth. Religion is heavily incorporated in the fundamental framework of most countries. They are intertwined and inseparable. Calling something not religious that is actually based on religious principles is silly.

Everyone should wear Burkhas tbh

or at the very least this

I just watched that movie last night!
A splendid film e.e
Indeed. I am now hoping to watch Brave New World (both 1980 and 1998 version) to see which one is better.

Mongol Empire was shit

great conquering, bad leading. though the system they had was pretty great.
They kind of introduced the idea of letting "the best man" lead though. That was pretty neat. I actually liked the Mongol empire and their politics towards different peoples.

Don't worry Cindo, I got this.

There would be less people.

King stops being possessed and asks who that dude. Names are exchanged and then smiles because *memories*. Then darkness, king gets wrecked, other dude fires his laser *pew pew pew*, dude loses his laser. His friend says "All is k". The end.

I miss Georgia. Waking up in the middle of the night to gun fire just to see the neighbor shooting at armadillos in his backyard. Good times.

The Flood / Re: Who Else Has This Happen?
« on: November 07, 2015, 07:52:16 AM »
When I'm up, I'm up. However, I have a lot of trouble sleeping. I'm up several times a night due to dreams. I have many recurring dreams, prophetic dreams (that I experience as deja vu later), and vivid nightmares (also recurring). A lot of the times, I know that I am dreaming, which makes it all the more frustrating when my dream-self is trying to make me wake up, but I can't.

The Flood / Re: Can someone tell me why people are so promiscuous?

I think the concept is very strange. Dating apps did not exist when I first went to university, and it seems terribly unsafe now, as it would have been then. Although, I do have a friend that met his girlfriend on a dating app, and it worked out perfectly for him.
