Minus my feelings on hunting, they just don't look aesthetically pleasing at all. Would rather have posters/wall hangings of actually good art, music I like or something which is important to me. Not some dead deer.

To each his own.

But in the end, every example you gave has a positive effect and use for us. What do you gain out of going and killing a dear for the purpose of "lol I killed a deer"

Venison to eat and antlers to mount on your wall if it's a buck with large ones.

I think hunting is pretty idiotic. I do not see it as a sport or anything. Hunting out of necessity and survival is one thing, but in our current society you can go to a store and buy food.

How exactly is buying meat from the supermarket any more or less ethical than hunting for fresh game meat out of desire?

Some Floodian got butthurt and wiped the Flood page.

We lost a lot of good history n shit.

It had been vandalized to hell and back by newfags trying to make themselves e-famous anyway. I'd rather it be gone than to continue being that cesspool of cancer.

That "cesspool of cancer" is extremely amusing.

Having a good ED page filled up by cancerous contributions by newfags trying to make themselves e-famous is not amusing.

I mean ED in general.  ED is a very amusing site.

It can be when pages aren't being vandalized and re-written by people trying to either cover things up or make them e-famous. Unfortunately it's kind of become well known now, so it's hit by that shit pretty often and unless you have someone dedicated to preserving a specific good page its more than likely going to get fucked with by some ass clown.

Aren't certain pages locked? And forgive me for asking but do you think the ED page on the flood could use an update?

The Bungie.net page wasn't. The place isn't exactly notable in any way shape or form.

I really couldn't care less about what the page looks like anymore. It was ruined and it'll never be the same. Even if it was restored it would just be fucked up by a new generation of newfags again.

ED loves petty drama and the flood is a hive of petty drama. And we could also save the pages so that if they were ever vandalized it could be restored.

If you want to go ahead, I don't particularly care anymore though and you won't see me reverting any stupid edits made by people like I use to.

There's quite a bit of content to cover do you have some pointers and good content to use?

Grab some old copypastas about the place. Maybe go over b.next and b.lind. ED isn't fucking wikipedia though so you can't make it some sort of dry exposition. Piglets was fucking great and he really made that article something. It's to bad he retired from his position at ED and no longer goes to the place.

If you've read enough of his stuff you could try to emulate his style.

What are some old copy pastas from the flood that you recommend from the flood?  And can you show me some of Piglet's work?

The Flood / Re: Does anyone here just feel worthless?
« on: November 01, 2014, 03:21:41 PM »
Yep. No ambition to do anything for a career. And I'm done with college and don't know what to do. All I want to do is play video games and they've consumed me since I was 11. So I'm very close to losing it. It would be better if I wasn't born in the first place because of how indecisive I am. Life doesn't feel like anything to me anymore.
Why don't you try to take a break from video games and focus on your career? I find with myself I can start gaming as a stress reliever and get caught up in it and have no ambitions until I take a break from it.

As for the OP, my advice would be to get in the mind set that everything you do matters. Even if you are in a dead end job, you are still contributing to society, and if you want more then find out how to and try to do it.
It's not as easy as people think to just start out. Trust me, I have been applying for decent entry level things since May. I do not want to settle for minimum wage in the mean time or something that is demeaning. And still, there's isn't one thing I want to do. I just look for anything that interests me that requires a liberal arts degree, but so far no luck.

What do you define as demeaning work?

« on: October 30, 2014, 04:52:26 PM »
When I was a little kid I owned a Nintendo 64 and a gaming PC decent for it's time which I believe had a Pentium II processor that I used to play Unreal Tournament and some other games with my dad. When I was in first grade I got a Nintendo Gamecube which I played frequently and still have quite a few games for. For almost all of elementary school and 6th grade I would be a Nintendo gamer and an occasional PC gamer. Around 7th grade I bought an Xbox 360 for Halo 3 which I put quite a few hours into and just ran with the platform for a while. Currently with the 7th generation of consoles coming to an end I haven't seen any reason to buy a next-gen console as there appear to be no games that in my opinion would warrant the purchase as Halo 3 once did. I had decided that a new gaming PC would be the best investment with the money I had so I built one around the end of last year.

wow the level of acceptance towards gay people here is shocking. I'm leaving this liberal hell hole
/psu

Nah - he needs to mention how he rose from a ghetto neighborhood, has a great life with a supermodel class wife and works for the NHL.
Now you guys are riding his dick.
Nah, that's gay, bro.
It sure is. Insulting people behind their backs is gay.
It's not "behind their back" if they can read it here. I'm not hiding anything from him.
Are we seriously going to argue about this? Coming from the guy that always complains about arguments this is pretty ridiculous.

He didn't post in the thread. You didn't reply to him. He may not even click this thread. As far as I'm concerned, it's behind his back.

Nobody gives a shit except for you.
