The difference here is
-Making fun of someone's appearance
-Flaming someone for disagreeing with you

If anyone actually gets butthurt over being called ugly online, they really reaaaaaally need to get over themselves.
It's official. You're the stupidest mod. Congrats.

If anyone actually gets butthurt over being flamed for having a different opinion online, they really reaaaaaally ned to get over themselves.
I have been called worse, forgive me for not taking your opinion of me to heart though.

Indeed they do, but the rules here are the rules.
That's also very camnatoresque of you, congratulations.
We're not dealing with opinions. You ARE the dumbest.

Flaming someone for having a different opinion and making fun of someone's physical appearance are NO BETTER OR WORSE THAN ONE ANOTHER.

You're acting like flaming is worse. Why?

Because you're arbitrary. You have no good reason for that standard. And you're going to act like people who care about their appearance being made fun of just need to get over themselves--when I can say the exact same thing about flaming for having different opinions.

You lose.

I have ideas as to how to get new people here. Almost all of them include a shift in the mentality of the user base which I frankly don't see happening. It's a nice thought though
You should share it. I'm curious now.

Anarchy A Shit
That is one point.
Also
Anarchy a shit

Anarchy is a fun time where we all can go crazy. What's wrong with that?

i feel like this was a bit of a knee-jerk reaction.

Eh, not really. There were a few times while I was a mod when I said "This isn't what I want to do" - Tonight, I kinda just said that I'm done. This forum is a lot more fun as a regular member, or actual liked staff member.

If you're on the staff and even remotely disliked, you're going to just be in hell on the forums.
I can understand that.

Whelp, that's the truth.
Well it's a huge responsibility, so I don't blame you.

Yeah because editing posts, locking threads, and negotiating agreements between folks on a forum is such a huge burdening responsibility.
Taking the high road as usual. Good job.

Yes, I'm sure that your "job" must be so hard.
Refer to Icy's post.

I'm not reading all that bullshit.
Then I can't help you.

>implying I even needed your help

Serious / Re: "The moral highground"
« on: January 04, 2015, 06:41:44 PM »
You've never Been to the region and you've not seen it with your own eyes.

I hate to be that guy, but have you?
I wouldn't have used that statement if I hadn't.
You do realise pretty much all warzones are horrible, right? That doesn't give you any sort of knowledge which I don't possess, besides local geography. You may feel emotionally closer to the human suffering in the region, but that doesn't give you the right to just assume that Israeli is wholly--or even mainly--responsible for the suffering, and judging by the fact that you went on an aid mission to Gaza it doesn't seem all that unreasonable to think you had some pre-conceived anti-Israeli sentiments prior to the trip in the first place.

I'm assuming you opposed the 2003 war in Iraq and the War in Afghanistan. Now, if I had been to Iraqi Kurdistan under Hussein and seen the misery and bloodshed, would that give me any more epistemic authority than you? Of course not. If I had been to Kabul under the Taliban, would it give me some sort of authority over your opposition to the War?

No, of course not. What matters are the facts, not what biases you feel were confirmed while over in the region.

You are truly a wise man.

why are mods allowed to shitpost in Serious?
A better question is: Why the fuck is she still a mod when she was chosen through a bullshit popularity contest from someone who isn't even get friend anymore.

Not to mention a lot of people haven't joined because she's a mod.

That's even one of the reasons that folks on b.net give for why they dislike this place.

Well after a mess involving animosity between Nuka and Noelle she decided to leave with Vien, Sandtrap is still severely ill apparently and had a meltdown in Anarchy which seemed to be from the stress of chemotherapy and cancer combined with Dustin and other unscrupulous folks pushing him too far, and the site is apparently going to be updated soon.

Yesterday it was all Kinder posting.
So basically everybody over there has a severe mental dysfunction? Because you have to be pretty fucking pathetically obsessed over somebody to continue to talk about them. I really should just contact the FBI on criminal harassment charges; would be fucking hilarious

lol ok mallninja
How does it feel posting on a shitty version of /b/?

as if one user receives an infraction from a moderator over something that other users didn't. That kind of stuff is horseshit and should be called out.
The only time I really see this happen is when one user (Member A) has a long record of being an asshole and having no respect for the rules, while the other (Member B) has few, if any, warnings or lite-bans.

In that situation, Member A is somewhat more likely to get a harsher punishment because that's just fucking fair. But I wouldn't call it mod bias.

I wouldn't call that favoritism either but the the context of the hypothetical situation that I'm talking about is where Member A and Member B don't have very different histories and Member B may or may not be a friend of the moderator handing out the punishment.

While people like Kinder who shout mod bias at the top of their lungs over getting lite banned because they were flaming people are obviously full of shit in certain situations there can be some legitimacy to accusations of favoritism among the staff of a forum such as if one user receives an infraction from a moderator over something that other users didn't. That kind of stuff is horseshit and should be called out.

Why do you literally have shit taste in literally everything? Literally?
This coming from the guy who

>Listens to Nine Inch Nails

>Has the ugliest haircut I've ever seen (I've seen Casper)

>Has the ugliest profile pic I've ever seen consistently used

>Has a crackhead mentor who thinks he can revolutionize physics.

>Doesn't like Dark Souls because he couldn't get out of the Asylum

Who really has the bad taste here?

Mr Psychologist, Blazed Iron, Rocketman, and Officer Nasty all seem like they would be cool guys to chill with IRL.

Thanks buddy

No problem.
By the way, I'm offended.
Jerk.

I would be afraid of hanging out with you IRL. I have a feeling that you would try to drug me.
wut

That or God knows what.
I'd stuff you in a dress and force you to dance, maybe.

See, this is what I'm talking about.
Nah I'm just a twiggy little fucker so you'd probably try to eat me.

I could probably force him into a dress.

No you couldn't.

Yes, yes I could.

You and what army?
