The Flood / Re: Drugs n stuff

Then I guess that's why I like life then. I've lived with a good group of people for my whole life in a good town.
So have I, fortunately, but I'm still able to look around and recognize that life isn't so well for a lot of people. You like your life--you wouldn't like most other people's lives. Especially with the knowledge you have now.

I've always known that many people don't live good lives. My father is fairly quick to remind me of that. I just don't see how the existence of suffering outweighs the good things in life like the complexity of our universe, the ecosystem, the short but magnificent story of civilized humankind, etc.

Even if it doesn't accomplish much how does that mean that living can't be a great experience? Also, how does a lot of what we do perpetuate suffering?
There's nothing we do that isn't at the cost of another life's suffering, from the food you eat down to the clothes you wear.

Living can be a great experience only for those of us who are fortunate enough to be born with good parents in a good neighborhood. Most people are born in poverty.

Then I guess that's why I like life then. I won't lie about how I live a fairly privileged life.

verby i know these other chumps got you heated but just remember that i'm still waiting for that reply :0)
Yeah, I got caught up in all this shit. Sorry. If you could dig up the response for me, that would be nice. You don't have to though.

How is all existence suffering? From my point of view we are blessed to be self aware creatures on this beautiful planet which is only a grain of sand on an infinite beach. Life can be cruel, arbitrary and chaotic at times but the advantages of being alive and being able to observe the world around you are better than not having the chance to. At least that's just my opinion.
I never said all existence was suffering--I just think it's outweighed by suffering. Much of what we do here doesn't really accomplish anything, and SO much of what we do just perpetuates suffering, without us realizing it. The meat industry is a good example. So yeah, sorry, I don't really see the beauty, to be honest.

Even if it doesn't accomplish much how does that mean that living can't be a great experience? Also, how does a lot of what we do perpetuate suffering?

From what I understand you want the human race to go extinct. Why then would you seek to discourage people from self-destructive habits such as using recreational drugs and alcohol?
Because I don't want people to suffer. The reason I don't want life to exist isn't because I'm a cruel heartless bastard. It's actually the exact opposite, or at least, I'd like to think so. The whole reason is because I don't want life to suffer, because I don't think any amount of happiness can ever outweigh the amount of suffering that exists, and that's just what I believe.

Most people see where I'm coming from here, but they just think I'm too extreme, and that's fine.

See, this is why I just give up after a while, fam.

Out of curiosity why would you even feel the need to defend your lifestyle choices to people on the internet?

People should probably just do productive shit regardless of how fun it is, but we're too selfish and stupid for that.
So based on the logic that anything that doesn't benefit humanity is wrong, then how is doing drugs and alcohol worse?
Because you're intentionally wasting your life.

People dislike LC?
Yes.
Why?

Apart from arguments about games he's barely even talked to you.
Why do you dislike Donald Trump?

You have never spoke with him.

What's wrong with LC as a person is what he means.

Despite being the only type of material that is meant to be banned from the site, child porn is regularly posted. ‘Pranks’ have included taunting the family of a suicide victim, starting bomb and school shooting scares, encouraging young fans of the singer Justin Bieber to harm themselves and triggering a false rumour that Apple founder Steve Jobs had died of a heart attack.
Anyone who offends the 4chan community or other cheerleaders for the out-of-control internet can expect revenge attacks. Ater the credit card companies Visa and Mastercard stopped handling donations to the whistle-blowing site WikiLeaks, they were targeted by on-line vigilantes who managed to crash their websites.
Indeed, many members of the sinister mask-wearing international vigilante hacking group Anonymous started out as 4chan members.
Most of 4chan’s most offensive content is posted on its digital message board, called /b/, where members call themselves ‘/b/tards’ and live up to the title with displays of vicious misogyny.
Countless pages are devoted to ‘revenge porn’ — once the unpleasant practice of posting publicly compromising photos of an ex-lover, this is now a catch-all term for any compromising photos of women published online without their consent.
An even more revolting trend is for so-called ‘creepshots’, in which men try to photograph the bodies of women or girls — often under-age — whom they have seen out in public.

I love how they try to make 4chan look scarier than it actually is. The whole of /b/ is literally just porn, YLYL threads and shitposts.

Is this how you got over the asshurt that resulted from being rekt by Camnator?

In a way. That happened when the former Mrs Charlie dropped all her shit on me. I figured if Camnator of all people could get that far under my skin, I'd better get my shit together. I sign the Marital Settlement Agreement next week which ends an ugly chapter in my life. I met my GF, and she's cool. Way cooler than the slut I was married to.

All nasty, crude joking aside it's good to hear that you're doing well now and that you're no longer in a bad place.

Men and women are equally annoying. Anyone can be a bitch. Best bet is to surround yourself with people who don't make you want to choke the ever living shit outta them.

Nope.

Women and men are still different. I pointed out the specific differences last page. And the differences that women have make them infinitely cooler.
If this is your attempt at trolling please stop. You're bad at it.

That's their lifestyle choice and not yours. Get over it and move on.
Well, duh. I never said they couldn't do it, I just said it's disgusting.
How is it disgusting?

First your physical form will expire, then the knowledge of your existence will follow.

How does it feel to know that our lives are short and meaningless? Nobody will know our names in a century.

I smoke weed occasionally. It hasn't changed me at all. Everything in moderation.
I'm calling the cops on you.

If you would actually snitch on someone for smoking marijuana you're the lowest of the low.

I notified the school staff a while back when a kid was smoking in the locker rooms. If you're going to be an idiot and use narcotics don't use them in school of all places.

I'm talking about if you get someone busted for just owning it or using it in their home. Telling on someone for doing it in a place like that would be a gray area for me personally. I wouldn't want them to get in that much trouble for simply smoking and owning weed but at the same time they definitely should get in trouble with the school for it.

Every week it seems that some shitty pet project of a San Francisco hipster gets released on Steam. When will Valve get their shit together and implement some quality control on the store so the indie section isn't clogged with fecal matter?

We would have been farther if the Dark Ages didn't happen

Let me guess, you saw that retarded chart?

I despise when people think that the middle ages was some abrupt end to scientific advancement. The whole world isn't Western Europe you dipshits. The Arabs did a lot of shit too you know and so did the Chinese. In fact if it wasn't for the Islamic Golden age we wouldn't have a lot of Classical Greek texts.

Hopefully they realize they need to make money off this shit.

They'll probably add commercials in between YouTube videos. We'll probably have to wait 30 seconds before we can play our sanic and shitty music. I'd be all for that if it keeps the site running.
