The Flood / Re: Top 10 albums of 2018
« on: January 02, 2019, 06:22:46 AM »
I haven't listened to anything released this year except Wayne's new album, and I only listened to a couple tracks.

How do people consume music nowadays?
I tend to use Spotify as I like to listen to music while doing work on my PC, so it's pretty convenient (moreso than using Youtube). But I tend to still buy the albums I listen to a lot, partially because I like a physical collection and partially to support the artists more.

Yeah I've kinda got stuck in a rut of listening to the same albums I've owned for years. I'll give Spotify another try.

Pretty magnificent if I do say so myself.

When I get some of the cash the government stole from me I'm planning on building a PC.
Is that Overwatch I see?

Gotta get that professional look.

YouTube

the lee part is nice but the f is ugly af CHANGE IT
Eh, I think I'm good for now. Almost everyone likes it and I dig it myself. The F is also its own stand-alone emblem.

Heavily inspired by crazy taxi. Looks good tho.

Ps4 sale is actually pretty decent this year. I just keep adding games to my ever expanding backlog.

The Shining is also really good. It builds a sense of foreboding and dread that few films come close to touching.

Se7en is easily one of my favorite films of all time, maybe not as thought provoking as fight club but the tone it sets throughout is fantastic.

If you're in the mood for "what the fuck did I just watch?" A Scanner Darkly is excellent.

Momento, The Prestige, Shutter Island, Twelve Monkeys, Looper, No Country for Old Men, etc.

I'm always really impressed with the things people go through in order to stay competitive in fighting games. The amount of thought and effort it takes to break down all the systems and to focus on where you need help never ceases to amaze me.

Soldiers deserve to die in Iraq because they shouldn't have been there.

They didn't choose to go there. Pretty sure they don't ask soldiers where they want to be stationed.
You should be expecting to spend time in some middle eastern shithole when you bother to join an army that's actively deployed in such a place.
Holy shit I'm liking something Das said.
Shut the fuck up Napalm

Grunts don't decide what war they fight or for what reason. I'm sure most who signed up after we declared "war on terrorism"™ had some idea what they were getting into but to say they deserved to die for being there is a bit much.
You decide that you're willing to fight and die in foreign wars when you give the oath.

Does that equate to you deserve to die?
How are you getting trolled by this garbage alt lmao

Dude hasn't responded, I'm having a conversation with Das.

water is wet and anyone who doesn't think so should be drowned in said water

If you're not going to respond to me point by point you can just admit defeat.

idk if people are serious or not ITT, but its no longer called global warming. Its called global climate change. Hence the changing climate you are seeing.

Some parts get warmer, some get colder. Some get more severe weather - like if town X used to get a hurricane once every five years, it now can get two or three in one year - every year.

Moscow did not have snow a few years back in winter! Only at the very end of December it got a bit snowy.
Antarctica is getting memed on and so is Greenland.

You can change the name all you want, weather patterns are weather patterns.

147
WTF, how come South Florida gets 60 degrees, but I have to freeze my ass off in 41 degrees while working here in Central?

Lol it was 60 degrees this morning in South Florida.

Global warming my ass.

There are actually people here. Mid Florida is a wasteland that Mickey inhabits and sells survival supplies at a premium.

Still lurk every day, watching Chally and verbatim slowly descend into madness as fewer and fewer people post.
It's like a constant battle between good and evil, god and satan, but the difference being it's just two petty assholes arguing for 10+ pages about water being wet

Water can't be wet, by definition.
Oh don't you start  >:(

Just saying. Can't saturate water my dude.
