New footage was just released at Comic Con.

They actually gave Zavala a personality, and it comes off pretty well, a lot like he is described in the Grimoire.

Sounds like it won't be long before you're sucking her dick.

really don't like the new weapon system

Seriously. I couldn't see any point in differentiating energy and kinetic weapons from the demo. And shotguns and snipers are heavy weapons because they couldn't figure out how to balance them for the shitty pvp? C'mon.
I like it.

I usually used a sidearm to mow through shields, and elemental primaries have always been coveted, but really unbalanced in PvE, especially with modifiers. This usually results in your favorite loadout being useless in some situations, and god tier in others, or forced you to use an elemental primary you hated just for the burn.

I was not a fan of the Zhalo Supercell, but it was hands down the best weapon in Arc Burn, even before Fatebringer was useless. Though, now that Fatebringer is back, the Supercell isn't just plain the ONLY option.

Displacing the amount that these weapons can be used by moving them to the special slot will create some interesting PvE, and considering how much I even used my Sniper or Shotgun when I had them equipped, plus how weak they were in the special slot for PvE, moving them into heavy and giving them a nice PvE buff should be awesome.

Not to mention I almost absolutely never touched my heavy slot.

Ultimately a lot of these changes seem to be geared toward more casual players wanting to enjoy PvE, and I'm okay with that.

This beta build is several months old and is just a server test.

Most of people's complaints have already been addressed.

The Flood / Re: Why are police trained to have the warrior mentality?
« on: July 24, 2017, 07:09:44 PM »
Several reasons. One that hasn't been mentioned yet is the availability of arms. If you're a police officer in a country that has more privately owned guns in it than people, you're trained to just about expect the worst in any situation. Pulling over a car with a pinged plate, breaking up a confrontation, called for a domestic dispute or possible break in? Odds are someone's going to have a gun. 60 something policemen shot dead while on duty in 2016 alone. That's more than one a week. They're trained to prepare for stuff like this.
Of course, should the government ever turn against us, the ability to kill police will be vital.
That's highly doubtful.
Except for the all the time it happens literally all over the world.

I spied him from across the food court.

I wasn't sure if the thin pube-like hair on his face was from neglect, or a genuine belief that it made him look cool.
His white New Balances stepped on the backs of his mom jeans, and it was clear both had seen better days.
He wore a faded Blue Lantern shirt, an ill-fitting Umbrella Corp. hoodie, and tucked away his greasy hair beneath an Eevee baseball cap. With ears.

I almost stood to ask if he was who I thought, but he turned to waddle away and I saw the Tamagotchi lanyard dangling from his pocket and I knew.

Do you?

eh, twilight princess on gamecube is the definitive version anyway (link is actually left-handed in that game)

botw honestly feels like butter

I was so mad when I realized he wasn't right handed in Twilight princess. My buddy mentioned it and it threw my perception of the game pretty hard.

I still need to play BotW. Looks like a return to form for the series.
He's also left handed in LttP, which I feel was the definitive title in the series.
He's left handed in every Zelda

it was only flipped for the Wii
With the exception of Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild.

Obvious reasons—motion controls, right-handed players, etc—but it would've been dope of them if they just added an option for lefties, because apparently, some of them actually have a harder time playing games like that.
I'm surprised they DON'T have that option... That seems like a massive oversight. I know lefties aren't very common, but it seems that if your star character is a lefty, along with the creator, you should sure as hell at least add the option.
I guess I found the overall franchise's ONE FLAW after all

The Flood / Re: Thor wields lightning without a hammer in Ragnarok.
« on: July 22, 2017, 11:33:58 PM »
His hammer is just a catalyst
After Odin took his power away, the hammer became a sort of key to unlocking it.

In the comics, he never really gets his full power back, and during the Thor: Unworthy storyline he forges a new hammer to unlock his power again.

Part of the crushing effect losing his hammer must have on him is the partial loss of his power, which is why I'm sure this reveal with him embroiled in lightning is so important, and why Hela destroying it such a pivotal plot moment.

Blane: Maybe I don't need a new friend.
Jacey: Maybe you're the only friend I need.
Blane: Need, or want?
Jacey: I've never been much for wanting.
Blane: Spoken like someone with needs.
Jacey reaches out and touches his face.
It's clear he needs what she wants.
She's a woman.
He's a man.
The city burns in the background as he takes her in his arms.
Fade out.
Title... 'The End'... "Question Mark."

The Flood / Thor wields lightning without a hammer in Ragnarok.
« on: July 22, 2017, 10:52:11 PM »
After doing a frame by frame of this new trailer, I have determined that Marvel did not just remove his new hammer from the frames to hype the reveal, he is actually wielding lightning without his hammer at all, as his hands do not remain clenched as though he is holding onto something after he stands up.

So, does Thor get his full power back, as it was before Odin put restraints on it?

TTK was bad since it made any content in vanilla and the first two expansions completely redundant. It slowly but gradually got better with each following content update.

I'd say it wasn't until Age of Triumph that the game actually got pretty fucking good.
Man, I was so excited for age of triumph, and then never actually played it.

You know, it's funny.

Somehow, playing by your strange standard of what a flaw is, you found something you could consider a flaw.

But where I was content before, I somehow now feel less like I've won.

Miyamoto-san is a lefty, so that's why. I think it's a clever little thing.
I meant flipping it for wii was dumb.

I'm fully aware of Link canonically being left handed and Miyamoto being (although he claims to be ambidextrous) left dominant

82 hours - 81 of which are on my Hunter (aka about a collective half hour on my other two)

3d, 22h, 55m, 57s.

I still regret allowing myself to be tricked into buying the taken king edition under the promises it had got a lot better since launch.
I think the game got better with every release, except dark below.

TTK is way overhyped by the community though, and it didn't really become something all that playable until RoI, which was disappointing in it's own right, as there wasn't an overwhelming amount of new content like there was if you started playing TTK towards the end of its life. TTK was just not that good at its launch though, and frankly the thing that makes RoI the best era was the fact that TTK released a bunch of free content over the course of year two that was all available by the time RoI came out.

Also after consulting with colleagues who build for a living, without mentioning what I recommended, they all suggested the 8350 as opposed to Pentium, and we all had a laugh when I said it's what I recommended.

What?

Cool how you've started getting more annoyed by me during my hiatus though.

Actually, I realised it awhile back, but what pushed me over the edge was your entire presence in my PC build thread. You accomplished nothing except making yourself look like an ass and giving me, an admittedly inexperienced PC builder, a small heart attack in the process. You're the king of looking smart, but under further scrutiny, you're full of shit.
Your Xbox build thread?
