I was the same with Swirlix in X, I refuse to evolve it but it ended up being a surprisingly good member of my team. I also refused to evolve my Chespin into Quilladin until level 35, and tbh I kinda wish I didn't evolve it into Chesnaught.

It's just a bit naff really, and it doesn't help that so far GENERATIONS has basically been Gen 1 pandering. Episode 3 in particular was rather cringey and everyone came across as edgy. This was cool as shit though
