I was a lot smaller back in May. I gained at least 30-40 pounds since then.

I don't think it's really about the emotional argument that hitting kids is wrong, I think it's more about the kind of atmosphere you're raising them in: a kiddy one, not an adult one.

I did, which is why I think it's needed. And of course parents would complain because they live in a stupid fantasy world where their failing child associated with street gangs and drugs are perfect little angels that won't do anything wrong
You're missing the larger point that some kids would hit back, and would probably kill teachers even.
