How come the developers have gotten cheap and decided not to renew the licenses for a bunch of car brands
I'm a little cheesed at that but my favorite car maker is in the game and alot of it's signature vehicles are present

« on: September 06, 2018, 03:11:52 PM »
I'm getting kind of tired of how politicized everything is seeming to get nowadays, but it more so bothers me when it's something I like that's specifically non-political or ideological, mainly forms of entertainment media. There are times when I just want a break from the circus so I'm not exactly a fan when the things I use as an escape start to join in.

As far as Nike goes, I just don't care really. I have no interest in them.

A: Let me get back to about this.
Sure thing.
I got my opinions in my head but I can't make a sound counter  argument
That's too bad. I was hoping to hear a solid counter-point or opinion.
I will just try wing it with a 50/50 mix of opinion/counter argument.

I have no issues with a peaceful protest my information that I've read was only about Ghandi.  I do find not paying the upmost respect to a flag and national ahem is very disrespectful.  The flag isn't just a flag it's your country and what it represents and it cores values.  Values that people have fought and died for to protect and to protect other country similar values.  You may not always agree with your countries policies and laws and he has the right to protest against Trump. But that the thing protest against the man not the institution. Alot of blood has been split protecting democracy and we owe it to the people who wore that flag into combat to pay respect to it.

If it’s your first project car, defs go something simple. I think drift tax is fine on AE86s/AW11s and na/nb Miatas on your side of the planet, so they’re my first suggestion. If you don’t mind something that needs a little more attention, Mitsubishi Starions and their Chrysler counterparts are fucking sick. But if you live in the salt band
P L E A S E don’t neglect that underbody. Hmu if you go down that Nissan rabbit hole tho, I know a thing or two about RB powered R-chassis.

My own hobby is planning to attend JDM meets and never showing up, and the occasional bout of Super Smash Bros. I haven’t touched 64 or 4 in a hot minute tho
Thank you for the info.  Yeah we salt the road like crazy up here. I want to find a something from the southern states.

It’s funny that these people burning their sneakers are so politically active and care about their community so much they choose to burn shoes and not donate them to the impoverished.

But it’s actually not funny, they’re just dumbass racists.
I find burning shoes a little excessive.  First of all you bought them so  nike doesn't give to shit what you do with them 2 donating them would be a good ideal.

>People burning shit they paid good money for

If Bearpaw came out saying political shit, I wouldn't start burning my work boots. 1. I need them, and 2. I spent $120 on them.
I agree my work boots are bloody expensive
Does it really bother you that companies get political or is it just that you dislike whatever it is their political stance is? I've seen a lot of people say this and it seems they all just disagreed with the political POV rather than the mere fact of the company having political opinions. You mention you'll instead take your business to Adidas instead. Are you aware that Adidas has already gone political on numerous occasions? In 2015, the company launched a fund to help high schools make their sports teams more politically correct. The next year, its CEO spoke out against Brexit. In 2017, it aired a commercial to get football teams to change "offensive" names like The Indians to something more appropriate, as well as launch an ad in support of multiculturalism. Its daughter company Reebok has been even more politically active and has (among many other things) directly mocked Trump and supported Democrat senators. Are you going to go down the list of sneaker / sports attire companies and look for the few that have never gotten tied up in politics (good luck with that) or are you perhaps just not admitting that you're a bit peeved about Nike's particular stance here?

As for my opinion, good on Nike. The move has already been tremendously succesful for marketing. Kaepernick protests a worthy cause and does so in a way that is non-violent, doesn't harm or negatively affect anyone, and doesn't (or didn't) stop him from doing his job. The extreme American patriotism is pretty bewildering to begin with, and anyone who gets flustered by football man not standing for a song/flag should reconsider their priorities. Peaceful protest is an important part of freedom of speech, which is exactly what all the supposedly offended soldiers fight / fought to protect.

Alright you threw alot at me so please bare with me

A:  I should re-word my statement I dislike the political stance nike took in the matter.  I do also dislike the fact when companies no matter what they sell or do go public with their political views.

A: I was not aware Adidas went political. I will change my statemen in my OP.

A: I will admit I'm peeved at nike here.  I will attempt to find the best of the worst.  The company with the least amount of political involvement. I will also look into what they were involved with.

Don’t forget Nike does not give a shit about this whole kneeling thing and you’re dumb for taking moral lessons from a company that has 12 year olds making their shoes
