Maybe in a few years. These new age commercial jets practically fly themselves and can dp approaches and set glide slopes on their own, but I don't know how well autopilots can actually touch down for the landing at the moment.
The pilots is there for taking off landing and just in case something goes wrong. Most people would not get on a plane without a pilot onboard
They pretty much are already so yeah once the tech is there. I think having remotely controlled commercial planes is more likely to happen first though
