I chose to become the leader of the institue, but unfortunately they will all die, because Owen Newton (I think that's his name) won't move when I'm supposed to follow him because of two scientists who locked themselves in and cut the food supply.
I noticed that once I killed off all the other factions - except for the Minutemen that consists of one guy - I still had two quests that I shouldn't have. One was to set up a MILA for the Railroad, and the other was something BoS related.

I'm pretty sure most civilised people are with Paris against the attacks, so why even bother? It's not even a fight, and you're "standing with Paris". There's no argument between the attackers and France, so why do you "Stand with Paris"? How do you stand with Paris?

I mean, sure, I haven't finished the game, but this guy made me send home Nick Valentine - who had been following me ever since I met him - as soon as he offered himself to be my companion. I don't remember his name, but he's the guy that Spoiler vouches for you when you first enter the Railroad. This guy, is my man. Spoiler At one point he gives me the reset code for his software, in case something goes south. He inspired me even more to support the Synths, and to either convince, or take down the Brotherhood of Steel.
