Because it would be scarier if we were the only life in the universe than if we weren't.
why

The vast expanse of the universe, and we're the only ones to have developed sentience?

How does that not freak you out?
Emotions are there for a reason.

We feel disgust because our parents show disgust in certain things, so if we find them disgusting we will avoid them as well. We feel disgust because it makes us avoid it. There is logic behind it.

What logic is there in being scared about being alone in the world with only people from your city? You can always expand on your own, and there are lots of people that are so different from you in this city of yours. So what is so scary?

things are, because they are. They aren't there for your sake, and you don't have to interact with them. An empty planet is an empty planet, and because you usually try to exhaust resources you find the thought of it being empty scary. Maybe I didn't hit the nail in the spot with that guess, but the underlying motive probably applies to you. You're being egotistical.
literally what
I'm trying to address his fear.

Being aware means to understand why you feel what you want to feel, and why you want to feel it.

@winy

The latter obviously
Cultural exhange with aliens would be the bomb
Hopefully culture isn't all we can exchange
Go think about an ideal scenario, and then multiple twists within that scenario.

It doesn't matter, because what may happen if you're correct based on no real information doesn't have to happen.

There is absolutely zero chance that it's aliens.

They probably found a planet with similar atmospheric composition to the Earth in a star's habitable zone.
Ayyy, Winnie!

Aliens would be cool, but they probably wouldn't be our kind of smart.

Kitsune will be in a wheel chair, if not dead due to too many accidents involving cars. Her tombstone will read "My accidents are not quantifiable in aiding the stereotype".

woah that was deep man....

So like, am I going to have to remove you two from this thread or can you guys play nice?
Play time is obviously over when the response is "no u"

Considering your responses to his earlier posts I wasn't sure if it would set you off or not.

It's better to try and head this off at the pass.
You wrote to, and not too, which made me question who the recipient "much thought dude" was. Was that so hard to understand?

Zesty twice, since the bugger has two accounts now
I'd permaban you if I was given the option as a wish, but not if I were an admin because that'd be admin abuse. Baning you would reduce the annoying content that makes me cringe sometimes on this site.
mad cuz bad
Yeah, that is why I'm mad at you
well it's good that you acknowledge your own faults then
Yeah, I really shouldn't allow you any of my conscious thought.
that sounds like an excellent plan
Shut the fuck up! Jesus. You're like a 14 year old trying to sound cool by having the last word, but it ends up just being excessive.

Are you seriously perplexed? Read your own reply if that is the case, and if you still can't figure it out you're dumb.
