Serious / Re: Why we fight« on: January 01, 2016, 01:31:03 PM »Well, yeah, I agree with you. We fight to preserve our culture, and our lives, just like with any other enemy. What is the point you want me to understand? That this is fundamentally the reason why we fight them, and that defeat means the wholesale capitulation of our culture. 7596
Serious / Re: Why we fight« on: January 01, 2016, 01:18:11 PM »I don't really see what you mean. You're talking as if we're being oppressed, but the truth is that we have enemies that just want to kill us, not stop us from celebrating. It just so happens that we're more vulnerable when celebrating. It is frustrating, but it doesn't change the fact that we are currently in a relationship with terrorists.Fireworks aren't a part of what makes us civilized.Irrelevant; the point is that innocent people are trying to freely celebrate an event of global importance, and are being prevented from doing so by those who would kill us. What is the point you want me to understand? 7598

Serious / Re: Why we fight« on: January 01, 2016, 01:08:30 PM »
If people are dying in order for us to go on living as we see want to live, then let's change our ways of living to minimize the deaths. That is the logical way of seeing things, but you're trying to sell a speech for the masses by talking about our priviliges and how we deserve them on this board of arguments and logic.
Fireworks aren't a part of what makes us civilized. It's a concoction of gunpowder and metals burning in the sky; a display of pretty colours. If we never used fireworks, then we'd be fine, because they're just a small plus to our lives, but we do use fireworks, and fireworks were used in France, just not by officials. The officials in France cancelled their annual firework display, but they didn't cancell their annual celebration of the new year. There was a video show to replace fireworks, and that's fine seeing how people gather to celebrate the past, and the future; and not just to see pretty lights and then go home. As for the soldiers and security, I don't see how they're so bad. The whole thing is different from everyday life, but it's really not a big deal. 7600

The Flood / Re: Did your Highschool have lockers?« on: December 31, 2015, 05:02:19 PM »No, what? I'm saying that your opinion is stupid, because it's based on your own experience, and no rational thought. One could easily understand the use of a locker, and if one were to, then one would understand how lockers are in fact not stupid. You can argue opinions, but not in the way you're going about it. Your implication does not follow. I think lockers are stupid, so I never used one. You're implying that I think nobody is allowed to use them because of that.So only facts can be argued in your book? One must be right. Opinions are too personal, and there will be disagreement; facts are either true or not, and there can't be much arguing. Is that it?Let me state this in a way you'll understandYou said that lockers are stupid because you've had a bad time with them. They "weren't worth the hassle", right? If so, then I've understood what you've said correctly. If not, please enlighten me.Was trying to give a little advice tbh. Just because this was the case for you doesn't mean it's the case for all other students with lockers. I don't understand why this isn't good enough to end the discussion with me as a victor. Edit: I'm not saying that because of your opinion others can't blah blah. I'm saying that this is your opinion, but look at these other fucks using the lockers. Look at how happy they are. 7610

Serious / Re: Promiscuity and desensitization to sex« on: December 31, 2015, 05:34:57 AM »but if this applies to a million people, then it's no longer an issue with the people, but the game. If it's an isolated incident, then there isn't a problem with the game, but if this is something that keeps happening, then the game is at fault. The game is never at fault if you look at it from a rational perspective, but I decided to entertain your train of thought.I don't know why I wrote violent, but the word I meant to write was furious or something like that. That's more like it. I'd be lying if I said video games didn't frustrate me sometimes, but it's not the same thing as violence. If someone gets angry at a video game and then takes out his frustrations by, let's say, beating up their brother or something? Yeah, that's an issue with the person, not the game. Games make you angry, porn does so that you want to find the best of the best. The anger can lead to violence, and the search for the best can lead you to neglect people because they're not perfect. 7614
