Thank you for the concern desty, but karjala isn't a bot.
Sorry to have bothered you and all, but are you sure?

Either we have nations or we don't. Which one is it going to be?
I'm gonna report this user because I strongly believe that it's a bot.

Why do we let Zesty post here?
They're actually gonna ban me from FLOOD, and every other board except SERIOUS to promote discussion. Think about it. A new energy to the party, just imagine the possibilities and positive changes.

A bright future is ahead of us all.

You can't deny borderless Europe is not a problem.
It's not a problem, it has problems. The situation would have both pros and cons.

Are you a bot?

What is the point you want me to understand?
That this is fundamentally the reason why we fight them, and that defeat means the wholesale capitulation of our culture.
Well, yeah, I agree with you. We fight to preserve our culture, and our lives, just like with any other enemy.

Fireworks aren't a part of what makes us civilized.
Irrelevant; the point is that innocent people are trying to freely celebrate an event of global importance, and are being prevented from doing so by those who would kill us.

Anybody who thinks this isn't a problem isn't paying attention.
I don't really see what you mean. You're talking as if we're being oppressed, but the truth is that we have enemies that just want to kill us, not stop us from celebrating. It just so happens that we're more vulnerable when celebrating. It is frustrating, but it doesn't change the fact that we are currently in a relationship with terrorists.

What is the point you want me to understand?

I love how you guys think you're smarter than Desty

And these are the people who consider themselves open minded.
Nah, I'm fucking retarded. People confuse intelligence and vocabulary too often.

Desty's not dumb either, just a bit hard headed every now again. So am I tho, tbh fam ykwim?
That's alright then. I don't care for intelligence in an argument, just that the argument is intelligent. It's called a garbage can, not a garbage cannot.

If people are dying in order for us to go on living as we see want to live, then let's change our ways of living to minimize the deaths. That is the logical way of seeing things, but you're trying to sell a speech for the masses by talking about our priviliges and how we deserve them on this board of arguments and logic.

Fireworks aren't a part of what makes us civilized. It's a concoction of gunpowder and metals burning in the sky; a display of pretty colours. If we never used fireworks, then we'd be fine, because they're just a small plus to our lives, but we do use fireworks, and fireworks were used in France, just not by officials. The officials in France cancelled their annual firework display, but they didn't cancell their annual celebration of the new year. There was a video show to replace fireworks, and that's fine seeing how people gather to celebrate the past, and the future; and not just to see pretty lights and then go home.

As for the soldiers and security, I don't see how they're so bad. The whole thing is different from everyday life, but it's really not a big deal.

I never said people shouldn't use lockers, I said that that lockers are stupid because they aren't worth the hassle. I realize that you like speaking like a robot and sounding smart, but trying too hard has the opposite effect.

Was trying to give a little advice tbh. If you're going to be analytical in 9 out of 10 posts, it would help to make sure the response is relevant. Desty needs to either slow down when he's reading or reread posts a few times to make sure he understands what the person meant.
You said that lockers are stupid because you've had a bad time with them. They "weren't worth the hassle", right? If so, then I've understood what you've said correctly. If not, please enlighten me.
Let me state this in a way you'll understand

I think x. I think x because y. This is what you would call "an opinion". Opinions are not facts, and I do not have to substantiate an opinion like I would a fact. You are treating my opinion like it's a fact. Stop arguing this.
So only facts can be argued in your book? One must be right. Opinions are too personal, and there will be disagreement; facts are either true or not, and there can't be much arguing. Is that it?
You can argue opinions, but not in the way you're going about it. Your implication does not follow. I think lockers are stupid, so I never used one. You're implying that I think nobody is allowed to use them because of that.

If you want to persuade someone, as you're supposed to if you're talking subjective matters, respond with counter-information. Stating that I'm making some kind of tautological claim is retarded. It's what I think, my opinion, not fact.
No, what? I'm saying that your opinion is stupid, because it's based on your own experience, and no rational thought. One could easily understand the use of a locker, and if one were to, then one would understand how lockers are in fact not stupid.

The only argument I've written clearly is
Quote
and in case my analogy from some reply before didn't get through to you, you can't support a claim with a personal story. Just because this was the case for you doesn't mean it's the case for all other students with lockers.

I don't understand why this isn't good enough to end the discussion with me as a victor.

Edit: I'm not saying that because of your opinion others can't blah blah. I'm saying that this is your opinion, but look at these other fucks using the lockers. Look at how happy they are.

I don't know why I wrote violent, but the word I meant to write was furious or something like that.
That's more like it. I'd be lying if I said video games didn't frustrate me sometimes, but it's not the same thing as violence. If someone gets angry at a video game and then takes out his frustrations by, let's say, beating up their brother or something? Yeah, that's an issue with the person, not the game.
but if this applies to a million people, then it's no longer an issue with the people, but the game. If it's an isolated incident, then there isn't a problem with the game, but if this is something that keeps happening, then the game is at fault. The game is never at fault if you look at it from a rational perspective, but I decided to entertain your train of thought.

Games make you angry, porn does so that you want to find the best of the best. The anger can lead to violence, and the search for the best can lead you to neglect people because they're not perfect.

Yes, but I never used one. Lockers are pretty stupid fam
Where would you put your books if not in your locker?
My backpack. We only had like three minutes to shuffle between classes, and lockers took too long to use. It was better to walk around with a 60lbs bookbag than be tardy to class all the time.
Claim: Then ice cream should be removed.

Personal story to support claim: I once ate ice cream, and it fell out of my hand. Then when I got a new one I had used up all my money and couldn't get home.

I hate speaking like a robot and sounding smart.

I was trying to say that a claim like "lockers are stupid" shouldn't be said unless you're flustered and you don't mean it. Lockers are not stupid, you're stupid.

your backpack, which you should be able to bring to class

or at home--classrooms usually have extras or someone to share with
My gym bag, where I have my gym clothes, my computer, and all of my books.

Yeah, no. Let me tell you that my gym clothes and laptop are enough to put a strain on my shoulder. When I carry one or two books with gym clothes and my laptop, I have a hard time moving around.
