I make a thread to have a jab at people I don't like, and I end up with lots of likes and 3 pages of discussion about water being wet. Life can be strange sometimes

Seriously, if you're like this, just accept the fact that you're one of those extras in the background to somebody else's life. Don't make things awkward.

But psychology is pseudoscience, so why bother?
Because if we don't look within, we will fail to see our flaws. If we don't know our flaws, we can't improve them consciously. If we know what's bothering us we might have a chance to fix it. The reasons for another person's actions might be unclear to you, but because someone has made a book about similar behaviour you might get an understanding of that person's motivation or thoughts is. Is that enough reasons for you? I can keep going.

I think I need more information to truly grasp what you're saying.
You think so

In the 16 personality result thing you not only get your 4 letters, but you get percentages, and true to their number, they represent how a person is operating at that moment. Combine this with the fact that we categorize groups with NTs, SPs, SJs, and NFs - a highly irratonal way of doing it since it randomly switches to consider the last letter from the third - and we can understand that certain functions make you behave in certain ways.

An ESTP can be very loud, or unthoughtful at moments. On other occasions they might be the opposite of these, quiet and thinking. The reason, I reckon, is because the letters' activeness differs. If extroversion is high they might feel the need to voice their thoughts, if their T is inactive they might not be very thoughtful. This happens without them thinking about it, but what if one were to? What if one were to pinpoint what letters are active at the moment?

Well that's where my "system" comes in. It's more of a status thing, with bars in my head, but it essentially works with certain letters being more active than others. When writing things I might need N, T, and P, but am in no need for I, since it would make me think too much about myself etc, and so I can maximize the conditions for whatever task at hand by adjusting what letters are active. If I am to write bullshit with little thought in it, all I need is N and P. If I am to do math NT is what I need. If I am to "search" my feelings, or try to read my subconscious mind I might need active I and N, with T to regulate crazy thoughts.

The reason why some people write very incoherent thoughts can sometimes be because they use their N a lot, and don't regulate it with reason. Kind of like the difference between imaginaton and creativity. Being imaginative means you can imagine a lot of things. Being Creative means you can limit your imagination to what works.

I know you might have no idea what I'm talking about, and I'll provide means for you to understand below, but truth be told this is only so that I can get this out there, and because it's nice to type things in the hope that other people will read it. I can't think of a single user who would react in a way I deem positive, and I'm either gonna get no replies or few annoying replies, but in the moment before publication I feel good.

after reading through every single one of verbs posts I can really say that my eyes have been opened, I mean, no ones ever beat him in an argument so he can't be wrong, right??
He has reached a bedrock for his arguments or at least he's very close to it, and so he can't really be wrong. The only way anyone can have a different argument is because they value something different.

For example, if I say I like ice cream because the chocolate tastes really good, there are arguments for me switching to some chocolate bar. Once I've reached the core thing I like you can't tell me I should try this or that because you can't break off another piece to get closer to the core. Verbatim has reached his core, but in the meantime someone else likes potato chips.

Yeah, honestly, listening to Verb as a teenager has really positive results. Thanks to him and his different views I was also able to see the light.

Meat and animal products are bad
Antinatalism

I don't really care about morals though. I believe in the above for other reasons.

Mix of benzocaine into some warm tea and sip it until your throat is numb.
When the numbness subsides sip some more.
What? Why not just remove the benzocaine and smell a hot cuppa tea? That'll help your nose, and drinking it will numb your throat. I see no reason to add benzocaine.
It's a localized anesthetic ya dip, it's an actual medical remedy, not some folksy bullshit herbal spirit sage chakra aligning technique that was developed by monks in a nonspecific nondescript country.

The tea is only there to dilute it, which makes administering it easier, and it's only warm to make it less thick, and even then it's only tea instead of warm water for flavor.
Chamomile tea is naturally soothing, and is one of the oldest herbs to be used medicinally for conditions like sore throats. It’s often used for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and astringent properties.

Some studies have shown that inhaling chamomile steam can help relieve symptoms of a cold, including a sore throat. Drinking chamomile tea can offer these same benefits. It can also stimulate the immune system, aiding your body in fighting off whatever caused your sore throat in the first place.
Anesthesia doesn't aid your immune system you moron.

EDIT: sorry, I misread that.

I thought you were talking about the way western medicine has a tendency to make the body more dependent on it, and less self sufficient.

Anyway, benzocaine is the stuff you want, and the benefits offered by the tea itself are minute and trivial.
You say that, yet chamomile tea cured me completely when I showed similar symptoms last time I was sick. It was in the beginning phase of the sickness too, the stage where you know the worst is yet to come. In 30 minutes I'm gonna go to the store and buy some, then I'm gonna have breakfast.
So if you don't care about anything anyone is going to suggest, already dealt with the same symptoms and already 'cured' yourself of them using primitive pseudomedicine, then why did you ask for advice?

Having a sore throat doesn't mean you're sick, and clearly it wasn't that bad then and isn't now.
Tea is an afterthought, not a medicine and 10/10 doctors agree.
Do you have ADHD or something? How about actually reading stuff people write in their entirety instead of bits and pieces and then making up a theory of what it's about? I'm not asking for advice.

Medicine is what works. Do you know the cure for certain poisons and venoms? It's antivenom that can only be found in certain animals. You're overestemating humans' medicines and think that they're the end all be all instead of looking at actual science. You're a sheeple, a hipster, or whatever you wanna call those who think the thoughts of those who don't know much about anything so they put their faith in industrial science.
If using localized anesthesia instead of drinking a cup of tea to numb pain makes you sheep, then sign me the fuck up to get sheered.

Its people's distrust of medicine that disgusts me.
If someone complains about a headache I can offer them three different drugs that I keep in my medicine cabinet just for that, and if they tell me they don't trust medicine then I tell them not to bitch about the pain they're in.

Sorry, but if chamomile was a magical cure then we wouldn't have acetaminophen.
Wtf, you're being a hypocrite. If you take the leaves of some tree, dry them then put them in a liquid, that's tea. If those leaves have an effect on you, it's medicine.

If someone has a headache you won't hesitate to give them drugs, and that's the problem. Instead of looking at it logically, pragmatically, or scientifically, you choose to rely on your miracle drugs without a second thought. The reasonable thing to do if you have a headache is figure out why you have it. If you've drank very little then maybe that's the cause, and the solution is a simple glas of water. Maybe your head hurts because when you fell it shook your brain, and you had a concussion.

Chamomile worked for me once, so I wanted to try it again. It didn't work in the long haul, so my conclusion is that it's not a cure, but a small buff.

Thanks for the tips. Woke up with a sore throat this morning so I got some water and went back to bed till noon.

I wanted to sleep in after a series of nights I didn't get much sleep
Did it work?
I felt a bit better before I fell back asleep, yeah. I played Pokemon for a bit.
That's kind of unclear. Did pressing a finger down your sternum work in numbing the pain of swallowing spit?

Plus, it's only meant to take the pain away permanently and speed up recovery time. The actual cure is being developed as we speak inside my body.

try pressing down a finger above your sternum downards and then swallow. I want to know if it's universally numbing the pain when it hurts to swallow.

As the symptoms are evolving I've gathered more data. This trick does not work on a burning pain
