It feels dull, or maybe stupid. Kind of like how the Simpson turned out. It no longer does anything to my brain, I'm just watching things happen for 20 minutes, and then it's over. and while we're on the topic of shows being stale and disappointing, this week's episode of Game of Thrones really fucking killed me. Spoiler I kept thinking "please don't bring in the dragons to deus ex machina this, please don't bring in the dragons, but they did it anyway. The moment they came into the picture I just fucking died emotionally as disappointment crept over me. Then when Jon fell into the ice and they rode off, I knew that he'd survive because the show has lost its unpredictability, but I wasn't sure how he'd survive. When the dead were walking away, I was like "Nice,
now he'll travel to the wall in discretion. Turns out, Jon wasn't done fighting. He gets up and makes the walkers turn back as he readies his sword. I kept thinking "No, what're you doing?", but I still felt like that was true to Jon's character. It would've been a shitty death, but it'd have made sense, but instead we get Uncle Benjen turn up, save Jon, and then immediately die. FUCK THIS SHOW
