Picture it from a human Emperial citizen's point of view: You have a comfy life, your kids are getting an education, you're watching the news and see that the shipyard your buddy is at gets attacked by these left wing terrorists that say "May the Force be with you."
What do these "Rebels" want? They want a more equal society that non human minorities can get the same shake as your kid. In fact, once they hit legal equality, you know they'll have to get preferential treatment for a decade just to make them economically equal.
