One of Tom Hanks earlier movies. Spoiler Joe is living a miserable dead end life with no friends and a job he hates. A billionaire pays his doctor to tell Joe that he has a fake disease, a brain cloud, and that he will die soon. The billionaire then hires Joe to sacrifice himself so he can get mineral rights to an island in the South Pacific. Joe agrees to jump into a volcano to appease the natives on that island. The billionaire promises him that he will live like a king until he makes the jump. Joe outfits himself for the journey, meeting the billionaire's 3 daughters. While the first two are messes, the third is his soulmate. His voyage to the island ends in disaster, as his boat sinks. Only he and his soulmate, Patricia, make it to the island. When they get there he tells her his full story, and the billionaire's lies are revealed. Joe ends up being forced anyways to jump, but an updraft throws him from the volcano, and he and Patricia survive. He leaves the experience in love with Patricia, wiser having lived to die and vowing to live for what makes him happy.

Do outsiders know this? Does she when she quotes them? No one calls the trolls out. In fact, not everyone saying it is a troll. Some believe it and try to get others to agree with them.
The unlikely event of Anita visiting some backwater forum is irrelevant. We're talking about the people you're trying to use here to support your generalization that people are overreacting in order dismiss the legitimate arguments being made as to why someone may not like her.
Most of these people have engaged in on topic civil conversation.
Still, no admission that part of what she says is correct. And still, those that my generalization doesn't apply to react.

Actually, I do. By acting the way she predicts, we give her the ammunition to use against us. Games do have sexist tropes. Gamers do act in a sexist manner. Her points aren't without merit. Now, a few do go to extremes and give her points that she rallies large numbers against. Does everyone think she should be beaten? Of course not. But no one says anything about those who do say that. You want to make her lose her power? Try saying that she's correct on some issues and then call out the extremists. Then she deals with rational people instead of a sexist mob. Now the masses tell her there isn't a problem and she goes away.

Her initial videos were about tropes in gaming. To be frank, she's partly correct. Females in games are trophies. There are only a few exceptions to this. That motivation in games is tired and worn out.
Since then Gamers and the online community have given her all the ammo she needs. Posting like you guys do IS sexist and demeaning. Now she has a crusade and her opposition is demonizing itself.
Try backing off and accepting that maybe she has a point and all of her ammo goes away.

I don't think it matters how many partners she's had. As long as she wasn't doing it out of some other issue, or was a hooker or drug addict... There's nothing wrong with liking sex. If you want the pleasure but not the commitment, you're going to have a lot of partners.
