We're living in unprecedented times. Did Russia at least have an influence via hacks into the DNC and by propagating fake news? Undoubtedly.
Those sneaky commies rigged the campaign by informing American voters? How dare they!

A flood of fake news is "informing voters."

Instead we may have war.
You guys are really quick to jump on the war bandwagon. Turkey shot down a Russian plane and they only were annoyed at one another. It would get far worse before a war broke out.

The operative word was may. It is a possibility. Say there is evidence. Would economic sanctions be enough? Would the public accept that from the government? How would Russia react to whatever it is we do?

The question is now what do we do?

I would have preferred a quiet message to Trump that we know and his only 4 years are a lame duck while we patch the holes.

Instead we may have war.

Any interesting shit to talk about since you're drunk?

Ask. Not like this is unique.

You're 40 something right? What keeps you coming back here?

I used to work with a contractor in his 40's and it's just out of place to imagine him sitting down and stopping by a place like this.

A few types of gen x'ers. I am one of the ones who loved computers and gaming. My dad gave me a Timex modular computer for my 5th birthday. The HD was a tape deck. Cool shit. Took 20 minutes to load a simple 2 bit game.

It's just who I am.

I ain't complaining. You're roughly mid-lifespan now though. Any plans or goals for later on?

My buddy and I invented a condensater that can run on less power than a 60w lightbulb. Prop 64 passed in California. While cities can deny pot being sold in their jurisdictions, they can't regulate growing up to 4 plants. We have a product and a market. Just need the capital to execute.

I had a friend who tried his luck at slipping into the whole youtube money craze when that ball started rolling. If you're planning on selling then what's going to set you apart from all the others who're inevitably going to try and sell as well?

Our competitive differentiation is we can guarantee that inexperienced growers can have top notch bud with no experience. We partnered with a medicinal grower whose specializing in specialty strains.

The secret to having a good sex life is the ability to adjust your standards.

At 9pm to 11pm, go for the hotty.

From 11pm to 1am go for the plain chick

After 1am?  Chubby chicks and the ugly chicks even black dudes pass over. (Hey, pussy is pussy)

The Flood / Is Negan a truly bad guy?
« on: December 10, 2016, 12:47:46 AM »
I mean he is bringing society back together. Is it ideal? No. But could the world be put back together perfectly after a zombie apocalypse?

Think about it. Everything has gone to shit. The only thing that keeps you alive is the sheer will to survive. Then you meet Negan. He gives you a place in the world and a place and role in it. Sure, he's cruel. He takes a lot. But you have safety and rules to live by. Moreover, he's predictable. Give him his due and you live. Break them and pay. Is that really any different than how it is now? Lose your job and you lose your ability to pay bills or get healthcare. The only difference is the timeframe.

My point is the Walking Dead writers are villainizing what makes us, us. We follow rules or pay. We have people over us we may not like. But life goes on. And we live.

...huh

maybe i will

I saw it a few days ago. It's actually a very smart movie. The aliens are really a plot device. It's squarely about the linguist.

This. This is the start of the idiocracy.

We already dumbed our entertainment down. Everything is a derivitive rehash. Civility is gone from politics. Reddit and 4chan are creating actual news. May as well start watering the plants with Brawndo

driving stoned isn't anything to worry about
i'm actually super glad that you believe this

hopefully you fucking die because of it
i mean being stoned doesn't debilitate me in the slightest, so i can safely say you won't be getting your wish =)

even though i can't help it if some numbskull crashes into me
it depends on the strain/your current tolerance level and shit. ive had times where driving stoned was easier and more relaxing than driving sober and other times where i am SLUMPED on some shit and driving wouldnt be a great idea

You're making a statement about your ability. You can't say that everyone has your tolerance. You also can't say your ability is static. Driving when you're intoxicated is stupid.

It's bullshit like this that will lead to laws making online anonymity a thing of the past
Laws aren't going to keep people from going anonymous. Take down one chan and 10 more will pop up to take its place. People aren't going to give up their right to online anonymity without a bloody revolt for it first.

If it helps you sleep at night, go ahead and believe that.
