I appreciate your love for the prequels. RoTS is still to date my favorite film of the saga.
OT:
While the acting, script, and action were amazing. the general plot of the movie failed. If i wanted to watch ANH then i would just go watch ANH. Also like you stated in the TLDR, this movie was made to appease prequel haters and OT worshipers, but i wouldn't call this the worst SW film. It still beats ep1 and 2.

Took quite a bit from A New Hope but beyond that I don't have many gripes with the movie.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and give it a solid 8/10
- Couple notes -
- Rey is Awesome
- RIP "Youknowwho"
- Chewy and Rey tandem is gonna be sick
- The whole film felt like a Star Wars movie. Thank goodness

Really? All my dislike for Return of the Jedi, at least it tried something new. I felt like TFA played it way to safe.
that's how i feel. it mirrored ep4 a lot with a lot of throwback jokes.

I thought it was a really good movie. Way better opening act than the phantom menace was(even though i still really like that movie). The pacing was really good. the action was good. kylo ren kicks ass. now there were a few dumb scenes(fin being able to go toe to toe with ren) but overall it was a really solid movie. not mind blowing but solid.

Dude. I love the prequels. people really need to stfu with all the unneeded hate. it seems like people(especially on the internet) like to overreact to the films' flaws and over-dissect them. other than overuse of CGI and some spotty dialogue. they're not bad movies and they contribute well to the starwars universe.
