T4R, just curious
Lolno. I am nowhere near that stupid.

Well it looks like you're leagues ahead of Sony in the smarts department. How does it feel knowing you're more intelligent that the collective minds of a massive MNC?

Update to layout pushed to the site. Included are avatar size, trust rank image, and forum scaling changes. Refresh your browser if things are breaking.

This should be helpful to those of you who use the mobile site. Quote, edit, etc. links will be updated next (in a day or so).

Gaming / Re: Anyone Here Buying A Collector's Edition Of Destiny?
« on: August 04, 2014, 12:04:48 AM »
I'll be purchasing the limited edition. I've been hearing a lot of good feedback from the beta so I decided it was go-time for making a decision. That's what I proceeded to do. Plus, I really wanted the in-game stuff like the red Ghost shell, Vanguard Armory, etc.

How about you guys?
Nope. I am probably going to wait for a used copy to pop up on eBay. I always bought the Legendary/Limited editions of the Halo games, but I am not as excited for Destiny as I was for Halo 3 or Reach.

The Flood / Re: I watched Guardians Of The Galaxy, AMA
« on: August 03, 2014, 06:13:19 PM »

Was it better than the typical comic book movie?
I gave it a B-.
So yes?
It's above average, maybe even good, but it isn't Avengers or Winter Soldier good. You should see it.

You crazy? Winter soldier was good, but too much stereotypical Marvel action romp, illuminati in the shadows fuck yeah murrica type shit. Guardians was just badass, and I have never seen so many people laugh at a Marvel movie, it felt like Portal 2 mixed with Star Wars.
The bad guy turns out to be the Cap's best friend and the organization that had been built up over the entire Marvel creative universe was brought down spectacularly. This...against a cut/copy/paste find object, keep object away from generic bad guy (who is evil but we don't really understand completely why). It was a space epic and it had a grand scale, I get that, but the characters and story from Cap 2 were more compelling and interesting.

Guardians was good, though. I'm not disputing that.

But Cap 2 was so generic, at least Guardians went for the untrodden path, using 80s pop for theme tunes was a master stroke
I don't think I can agree with that. Neither of the films did something completely original, but Cap 2 was the one with the better bad guys, fight scenes, and storyline (IMO).

Guardians had the better soundtrack and it had a lighter mood, I'll give you that; but overall, it was not as good of a movie as Winter Soldier.

What time? I want to play Gears of War 3! Halo may be a better game for a game night due to the custom maps and gametypes and stuff, but I prefer Gears of War.
Sadly, I don't have Gears of War 3. :(

The Flood / Re: May I request a custom title?
« on: August 03, 2014, 02:42:14 PM »

I'll most likely turn on custom titles for the more high-ranking members once I fix the trust system, so there's your answer.
What about it needs fixing?
I'd like it to take more variables into account (posts-per-day, registration date, time online, etc.). It will still be mostly about trust ratings, but it will be harder to exploit the system.

Anything by Joss Whedon: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dollhouse, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., etc.
Homeland
The Strain (It's looking pretty good so far)
How can you mention Joss Whedon without mentioning Firefly and Serenity? It was by far his best work IMO
That's what the etc. was for, duh. :P

Also, Cabin in the Woods was one of my favorite movies, though it always fools some people into thinking it's an actual horror film, even after they watch it.

Apparently Nathan Fillion was the monstrous inmate; and of course Stan the Man had his small appearance.

Are the DDoS attacks ever going to be fixed/prevented?
We're already doing better with the new host, but I've contacted the new one about what happened on Fatcow and we'll see what can be done, if anything.

Who's our new host? How does it compare to our previous host?
1&1. I'm kind of wary of my choice now that I'm not in a panic because our site is down. If the service sucks it's possible we may change over to BlueHost before the month is through, but I'll let you guys know so you don't panic when the site goes down for maintenance if it happens.

Look, Bungie created this possibility. When Max, Icy and I were muted for complaining that we were harassed. When they allowed Paul to be called a Pedo till this day, and when they turn a blind eye to cyber-bullying. Had DeeJ done his job, this wouldn't be an option.

The guy who pulled the DDoS is bragging that he did it. They aren't doing shit, even when its a felony.

All I am doing is letting everyone know this is an option if shit gets way out of hand.
Who?
I am also interested in hearing who was bragging. Even a username is helpful.

The only instance I would say is in self defense. Say if we keep getting DDoS'd.
It's likely this is just one guy or a few of them doing this. Going after the entire off topic wouldn't help things here; it would likely just piss more people off.

ProBoards wouldn't allow it. Are we allowed to discuss raiding density?
I understand the need to vent your frustration, but you should keep your raiding plans away from these forums; especially the public areas like this that anyone can read.
