Nobody's rated you negative yet; when I changed the Trust system it knocked you out of the rating. You'll get it back quickly, I'd imagine.

Technically, the mods on this site have the powers the Master Forum Ninjas had on Bnet. They can permaban. If we get more members and more mods are needed, some Forum Ninjas might be promoted to Master Forum Ninja and the current Forum Ninja rank would be nerfed as new mods filled the slots. But that's if we need it to happen.

Some corrections/confirmations:
1. Adding your gamertag has no effect on Trust titles.
2. The septagon for admins posting in threads won't be added, since we have a smaller member base and if it did happen, like... a third of all the threads would have the golden septagon.

The Serious board is for religious, political, and other controversial subjects. Of course your opinion is allowed, and points of view that differ from the norm are expected; the rule you quoted is there to keep people from creating topics for the sole purpose of starting fights.
Not discussions or arguments. These are what a forum is about, so long as the arguments can stay civil and the members can refrain from attacking each other.
You might find this shocking, but people report threads in the Serious forum all the time. Just because someone reports it, doesn't mean it's going to get locked automatically.
So yes, you may report any thread you think is trolling or baiting. And yes, you may PM a mod if you are unsure about whether or not a topic would be trolling or baiting.

It seems like Tapatalk has all kinds of issues with the forum.  I've checked it out on the Tapatalk website, and it seems like this issue pops up every once in a while. If I don't actually get muted, then sure. I would see no problem with that.
Muted won't be an absolute mute; you'll still see their threads and posts. The only thing that changes is that they'll be wrapped in a spoiler-like box and will need to be clicked open to view. This system will only target users with a long history of overwhelming negative ratings. You would not yet fall into the Muted rating. Actually, nobody on this forum would fall into it; not even the rest of the DeeJ members.

Absolutely not going to happen. You'll never find out exactly how it works; only that it still involves Trust ratings. Negative ratings are still slippery and very much under construction; there might be more, but there might not be. Muted (the lowest) won't be activated until I know the system isn't being exploited.

And with the whole "punishing" thing, Sentra obviously hates me, and Kinder is holding a grudge against me, so that's like a free -2 every day. Just because it's Sentra and some butthurt guy. If the whole thing where "Bad" members are muted, then it gives butthurt users way more power than they should have.
That's not how the Trust system works, anymore. It's been tweaked to nudge all members toward the neutral rating (both the high-rated and the Bad and DeeJ). The Muted rating will be extremely difficult to hold onto, and if you find yourself in that situation it won't be because a few alts were pushing the red button every day.

Temporarily. Once I install the fix for mobile edit/quote links, they'll be turned back on for skinny screens.
