Wouldn't it made more sense to have someone that has a high post count due to activity which means they're on more to mod?

Just because someone isn't in the top group of posters doesn't necessarily mean they aren't on often. It just means they don't post as much as others. If there's a need to shore up a specific time slot then obviously the focus will be on that instead of just giving it to whoever has the highest post count.

I'm pretty sure it was said that the time slot in question was around the time Yu would be going to sleep.
If true, that time is when LC and Chronic are still trailing online, close to going offline themselves and Flee and Psy are coming online.
It's one of the lowest points in the day activity wise too.
Hardly something to crow about.

That's if remember what was said right however.

Comet isn't a bad choice at all, there are more than a few members way more active that could be chosen as a mod, but I presume the staff chose with more than "This user is nice" when they did choose Comet.
So if someone doesn't like it, best thing to do is PM Cheat or grin and bear it.

I actually wasn't even part of the discussion when this took place since my computer was out of commission and when it was up and running a couple days later all I did was post various activity charts for people to compare to and make their own decisions. Cheat asked me for my opinions via pm and I sent them to him (in which only a single sentence related to her). I actually hadn't even seriously considered her as a mod until I went around getting a pulse on people and was a bit surprised to find out that there were several users who thought she's be good (in fact she appeared the most out of the people I asked).

Comet is just as active as some other mods and she has the right personality for the job in my opinion.
