I suppose my only real suggestion is consistency. People don't report things that we'd usually not allow (like insults etc.) so we let that slide. But when someone finally reports something, and it gets moderated, people think it was favoritism or something because other people got away with it but not them.

The Staff isn't really doing anything wrong. If its not reported, they can easily miss it. So I suppose what I'm saying is:

draw the line at a point

if anything crosses the line (regardless of whether it was reported or not) moderate it

hope that there is consistency because of that.



It's one of those difficult cases. Because some people may not get upset when told to kill themself (like me), so I don't report posts like that towards me. But others might take it seriously. You could simply tighten the reigns on some things so its easier to know what is allowed and what isn't. Or you can continue to moderate on a case by case basis (which again isn't wrong, its just some people feel they are singled out when they get punished)

To be honest, it's hard to come up with suggestions for how to moderate the site differently, in a way that is still pleasing to everyone.

Is there any way, at all, to prevent an edited post from double-notifying everybody in the quote chain? It gets a little inconvenient at times.

The only method I can think of is deleting the username from the BBcode.

This was already planned.

It will also be moved to be with the rest of the buttons and the IP info will be placed in the signature instead of in the post.

I feel that Vote retraction/changing should be a thing in open polls.

Mods ideally should be kind and set a positive example (i.e. Psy, Kitsunekun, Flee). I think that's mostly happening. As long as that's maintained, everything will mostly be ok.

My only issue with the site is that I have yet been offered a moderation or administrative position by those in currently power. I firmly believe I have much to add when it comes to ruling‒ jointly governing the forums, though that's not to say the current team hasn't already done a fantastic job as is. I merely offer my services, and hope you take it into consideration.
