Ironman's been MIA for a while now and we need someone to fill the spot as thread-mover and first-post-approver. So instead of me picking, I thought I would let it be more of an open and transparent process.

Basically, if you think you're up for being staff and having the responsibility of working with the mods to approve first posts and move threads, then post a few paragraphs here explaining why you're the person for the job.

I'll choose from among those who apply. The due date is Friday (Nov. 21) at 8:00PM CST.

First of all, I'm one of the most active people on the site, activity is important if what you want is someone to assist mods and be a first reaction to issues that spring up.
I'm on UK time, which so far only 2 out of 10 staff members are on, it's not guaranteed they'll be on all the time. So another staff member from that timezone would hardly be a bad thing.

A lot of people probably don't like my posting habits, but I care about the site and at least try to keep the rules in mind. :/
I also create content for Sep7, actively contributing more than just average posts. That content may have dried up recently, but should definitely kick off again in a couple of months.

Monitor duties don't seem to be that heavy, so I doubt being one will effect my time here.
As well as the fact that moving threads and approving posts aren't massive deals, so I can probably handle them effectively.
I'm also a mod on the Plug DJ room. So far no one has had a problem with me.

In the OP you said you wanted "Paragraphs", this and the next will just be filler text so my post seems more impressive at first glance. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. I'm on here quite a lot and I've never broken any rules, and I understand what you do as a monitor. Apparently I'm decently liked and being that a monitor doesn't get the same abuse as a mod, I wouldn't mind it.

I appreciate the site and would be willing to be apart of it to make things better.

I'm pretty much active everyday, and British which could help with any timezone issues. I'm (hopefully) considered by most to be capable of seriousness and responsibility when required, and spend most of my time knocking around the Serious board, which seems to be most in need of having threads moved >.> I've also got a clean record of no warnings/bans.

But, shit, you guys know me better than I know myself. I enjoy the discussion, and am willing to accept a degree of responsibility and authority on a forum I enjoy using a lot. Plus, it'd quench my insatiable lust for power and defuse any future Metalutions I might launch >.>

But hey, you're the boss. I'll leave it to you.

Um...fuck it, I'll apply here, I can't lose if I start with nothing.

I suppose one advantage would not ever being in a heated argument nor holding any grudges with anyone as far as I can tell. No past experience whatsoever in any form of moderation, so that's a drawback.

I couldn't do middle of the day for GMT timezones given I've got Geology lectures most of the day, but I'm on regularly by around 4-5ish and around until around 11-12pm if that's any consideration.

I'll toss my hat in I suppose.

Roughly three quarters of the day I'm around here at some point in time. I keep tabs on things between running around in the restaurant, which at this point in the year, is a one man show. It's winter, and it will be for about 8 months, meaning I'm not going to be traveling, and I'll likely have very little work that'll pull me away from here.

Despite all the free time on my hands, I'm limited in my access to my computers however, and, naturally, I do other things than just browse around here all day. But for most times, I'm up in the early morning and up until fairly late in the night.

Earlier than most mods I've seen, and later as well. I could fill in the gaps in the early morning and night that don't seem to be very active, but still should be checked over.

You know me by now. I've no bias against folks and I try to keep things nice.

I think in the name of transparency and the sake of the users laying their cards on the table in this thread, that any PM's you get should be pasted into this thread.

I can try it out.

I mean I do not plan on using the powers much as it is kind of a hassle justifying its usage. Only use it if necessary, which seems to be rare. I have been lurking recently though and have usually kept away from breaking rules for a long time. Also you need another Canuck on the team.

I'm very active on here, and know the rules quite well. I've been a part of this community for a while, and would like to do more than simply be a member. I am very friendly, and am in good standing with almost everyone on the site. Not getting along with members isn't good when in positions of authority, so I won't have that problem.

I've never received a ban or warning. Some of the mods know me well (TBlocks for example) and you could get another perspective from them. I'd just like to serve, help this community out more.
And I'll do what I can.
