Just got GTA V for XB1

Just installed the full game right now, but the update is taking ages. The first day of school was today and it's only on 9%.

Any ideas on how to speed up the download rate a little?

Make sure you're not downloading anything else, make sure all applications on your xbox are closed.

Anything that hogs bandwidth really.

do a hard reset, that usually temporarily clears up some of the issues that that bug ridden piece of shit has

I hear deleting the game works wonders for speed. You literally hit a button and poof. You downloaded your game into the garbage.

the only ps3 game i've downloaded is mgs1 and an update for the hd collection
took like a minute for mgs1, less for the hd collection update

It took him 23 hours to download GTA 4 from Games on Demand.

So uuuh, now that the spot-light is on me

If you have any other devices using Wi-Fi at home - kill them.

If you can get a wired Ethernet connection (what Ethernet connection can be wireless you ask? SHUT UP!)

just let it go, GTA 5 took almost 6 hours on my X1. Be patient, leave your X1 on while you're out (make sure you have the power-saver mode set up right)
