How would improving the graphics for a game break the lore? You're only making a game that's supposed to look real life look more life like by making the detail and graphics look better. For Skyrim the developers did release a mod that updates the graphics.

The lore shit is just semantics anyway. If I conceded that minutiae like graphics and gameplay are not a part of the lore, I'd just find a different term to describe those aspects and use THAT as a reason to hate mods.

There is no version of this where you come out on top.
