As tantalizing as meeting the chosen undead and all of my favorite Dark Souls characters sounds on paper, the reality of me losing my sanity and becoming an immortal husk is not all that appealing.

So long as I'm a hero in the universe and Peter Molyneux isn't actually God, I can see the Fable universe being enjoyable.

I think my top pick is probably Nirn. I already spend hundreds of hours lost in it.

Usually, the main character in most video games end up as heroes and survive, becoming skilled.
However, if I was just a random person. No skills would be available to me to be more capable of surviving.

So any world where I have to fight i'm screwed.

Runescape 2009-2010 did it for me. It's when both HD and SD were still a thing, combat and skills were not redundant, and merchanting began to die off.

Around 2008, merchanting basically ruined the market though. When the trade limits were removed, everything dropped in price.
