I think the veto system is ideal.
Voting would have been better if they had picked draws at random, rather than always selecting the first option.

Don't know how I feel about this: I'll probably get really frustrated at some really shit maps/games, but I guess that's better than almost always playing the same thing.

On one hand it means I won't have to play the same couple of maps over and over again. On the other hand it forces me to play on shit maps.

I mean it's reasonably unlikely I'll be getting the game, the odds aren't exactly in the favour of 343 making a game that I find playable soooooooooooooooooo

but even so, I'd have preferred a map rotation system ala battlefield. If it's meant to have dedicated servers (at long bloody last) then just having the servers rotate through all of the maps in a specific sequence would be nice.

They should have it setup where the players are able to pick what maps they want to play on and what ones they want to avoid. That way when you go into matchmaking you're only playing one the ones you like and are avoiding the ones you don't. That would help hinder the amount of people quitting matches due to them playing on ones they don't like.

No they are not. 343 are simply developers making games for a series that Microsoft owns. If there is going to be mod support it would most likely be Microsoft's call since they own the series, not 343.

If anything it would be Microsoft's call if they want mods in Halo 5 due to them being the ones who own the series. 343 are the people who are simply making it it.

343 is still a branch of Microsoft, though.

Microsoft is fine with developers allowing mods on Xbox One, like is happening with Fallout 4. I doubt the higher ups at MS really care that much to explicitly forbid 343 from doing it.
