Pretty interesting that Joe Staten left a month after Activision got heavily involved in the story side of things. I think this all but confirms the fact that Activision is responsible for the current "story" in Destiny and Joe left the company due to the mutilation of his baby.

So Activision started meddling. Bungie sided with Marty verbally but weren't able to stop things. Marty felt Activision was threatening Bungie's integrity so he disrupted press releases among other things.

And Bungie just fired him, that's retarded. Sounds like Harold Ryan needs to be replaced

I still suspect this has partly to do with Peter Dinklage's shoddy performance. Marty was probably checked out by then and Dinklage was miserable too.
