Within the first hour of me starting the game I happened to run into 4 Captains at once. It was awful.

I see it more like a party game like ludo or Uno to play with friends or family where the luck of the throw or draw can easily determine who wins the game.
Being a good dice roller or card player does help, but still; the winner is the one who just so happens to have the most luck.

And that's how I view Mario Kart. As a party game that should not be taken too seriously.

Dark Souls + Monster Hunter when they throw 2+ bosses at you at a time

CLuster Missiles in Titanfall break the Core cat and mouse mechanic of Pilots being able to take cover in building. Those laggy Bruce Lee kicks suck too.

Flinch/Screenshake in any FPS is objectively the worst mechanic to ever exist. All it does is RNG gunfights and piss people off. There is a reason Toughness is the only perk anybody ever uses in CoD.

And on a side note another BS thing. CoD: WaW as godly as it is, had a waaay too high fire-rate cap for anything semi-auto. You empty a Magnum revolver faster than it takes for the revolver to even move around in that thing, and the rifles were practically fully auto if you had a decent trigger finger. Except for the M1 Garand, because it seems Treyarch remembered to put a cap and lock your gun if you tried firing too fast on only that one.

The angel then led the demon to heaven, where he underwent centuries of the cruelest tortures imaginable. Finally, the pain was so great that he lost consciousness - at which point his dark wings turned the promised shade of white.

A few features of a game sucking balls doesn't make the game itself inherently bad. Don't get me wrong, I'd avoid a shit game if I knew I was just going to get screwed around most of the time, but if it has fun overall gameplay, a few features such as RNG or unbalanced coding isn't going to deter me from playing.

In Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 & 2 there'd sometimes be random squares of land outside the base park that you couldn't purchase, yet were surrounded by purchaseable land.  So you expand your park, start building epic coaster #9, and then realize that you can't put a corkscrew there because some designer wasn't paying close enough attention.

Still love those games, tho.  :3

but once we start getting into "absolute bullshit" territory, that's when i can't enjoy the game anymore
