What games do you enjoy, that sometimes have absolute bullshit happen in them?

Example: I was playing Mario Kart 64 today on Kalamari Desert, and after winning the previous 3 races by such a margin that even the elastic mechanic couldn't close the gap, I was in for a bit of a reversal. I stopped a while before the train crossing to gain an advantage on timing it right, and apparently I stopped too early, because the Opponents drove straight through the damn Train without being thrown into the air, like they should've. Apparently MK64 doesn't acknowledge environmental hazards after a certain distance. Thanks to this, Toad (who everybody can agree upon as the most hated piece of shit in gaming) gained such an advantage, that no point in the race gave me a clear shot at him with a Red Shell. I'm starting to remember why 9 year old me binned the cartridge for it 10 years ago.

Random deviation in FPS's, notably Battlefield 3/4/HL.

By implementing a mechanic to recreate being suppressed under heavy fire, bullets can literally go at right angles out of the barrel, meaning you can't hit shit even if it was 3 feet in front of you.

It's even funnier when two guys are trying to shoot each other but can't because they're both suppressing each other... sure, FPS's aren't a true representation of real life combat with guns, but fuck me, that's retarded.

I wouldn't say that's absolute bullshit, especially if we're talking the main single player game, and not competitive. It probably has the least bullshit RNG of any RPG I've ever played.

Dark Souls 2, some of the enemy placements can be unfair at times with the purpose of just throwing enemies at you because it can.
