What do you think of Evolve?

I have it on my Steam wishlist, and will probably wait for it to go on sale, but what's the general consensus on it thus far?

Eh it's alright. My main gripe is that it takes the Titanfall route by telling a narrative (if you can call it that) through multiplayer. Absolutely does not warrant a AAA price given the amount of content it offers.

That being said, it's not a bad game. The gameplay is tight and everything seems relatively polished both in the graphics and playability department. But like I said, it shouldn't be $60/£50.

From all that I heard, its crazy inconsistent. Matches can take all of less than 5 minutes to much longer. During the hunt for the monster, there is nothing to do, and great evenly matches games are few and far between. Unless you have friends in all positions.

Another disappointing game, same with Dying Light, STOP THIS BULLSHIT. We already had a disappointing year, don't make the same mistake again.

Looks like a cheap cash grab. It looks like it could be pretty entertaining...just not justified to be a $60 game, nor a $60 game with like $100 worth of microtransactions.

Personally, 20 minutes into the beta bored me. I don't think being a monster is an engaging or fun challenge, just a frustrating "swat at fucking pesky flies" kind of challenge. I'm not saying those 20 mins were enough for me to have a final word, but those are my first impressions.

I got bored in the tutorial and deleted the beta after 10 minutes in a match with just how unfulfilling it was.

Played the Alpha. Found it to be a boring buggy mess. Then again it was an Alpha.

It's cheap on G2A, however I probably won't buy it. Seems like a game that'll only be fun with friends and well about that >.> lol

Pretty much this. Especially since a lot of it is DLC heavy apparently.

I also can't help but think it just lives in the shadow of the L4D series.

yall never play Duck Hunt or Cat and Mouse? because it's exactly that but with an inconsistent round time and the cat has a chance to win.

Meh, even ignoring the dlc stuff it just looks like it'd get repetitive quick. Plus the multiplayer focus is eh.
