What do you think Bioware's new Star Wars game will be?

So it's been confirmed for a while now that Bioware is working on a new Star Wars game.

Will they play it safe and make KoToR 3/ KoToR reboot?

Or will they actually try something new?

I hope we get a bounty hunter/smuggler type game (lets be honest, the force user stuff is kind of overplayed by now), with Mass Effect 2's combat system. It gives you a nice open world type galaxy, and you can even buy and upgrade your own ship.

Maybe they could tack on a fun co-op multiplayer mode like they did with ME3.

I'll gladly take KOTOR 3.

I'm not opposed to Republic Commando 2, or something else. But I would LOVE a new installment in the Jedi Knight series.

I would only support this if it went through a massive rework. That game was supposed to be a "smutty" Star Wars. There were constant butting of heads with the developers and Lucas over what was appropriate for the game. Too much cursing and gore was going to be in it, which Lucas did not want. Mainly because he didn't feel it was appropriate, but also because it conflicted with lore. Stormtroopers were apparently saying "Fuck" left and right, which felt out of place, especially since Star Wars is noted for replacing such slurs. You can see a little bit of this in the E3 trailer, with the partner using the word "bitch". Not a big deal, but out of place for Star Wars. A good example of this is in Star Wars Rebels, where one of the characters says "Karabast" a lot, which is the Star Wars equivalent to "fuck".

Then Lucas wanted to scrap the entire story, and rebuild it up as Boba Fett's tale between III-VI. The game was about to be canned due to this, but then the Disney acquisition happened and it got canned anyway.

The only "curse" words you really see in Star Wars (Canon Star Wars anyway) is "Damn". Everything else is usually "Blast it!" or some shit.

Speaking of which, I always found it a bit... disorienting when Han says in ESB "I'LL SEE YOU IN HELL!" It just seems so out of place...

I said lightsaber mechanics. Button combos only exist in coexistence with the OP force powers.

Playing Jedi Knight on PC works, but the lightsaber combat is so clunky on console. TFU's lightsaber combat works better for console. Of course, add this with Jedi Knight's realism mod, and you got some sexy stuff.

I would really have like to see how the Darth Maul game combat would've turned out. It looked interesting.
