I feel like I'm the only perosn here who wants to play Vale the most on team Osiris. I really liked her as a character in Hunters in the Dark. and besides, everyone will be squabbling over Locke and Buck, so I get a choice I want

then there's tanaka who has appeared in a couple escalation issues and no one really cares about her

Despite actually not liking a lot of the new team because I just don't like Locke, I want to play as Buck, obviously.

But I'll be playing as Locke (help me) because I'll be hosting. I don't know about this new team. It's just 'eh, whatever'

I just want to play as Chief and Fred. Kelly and Linda, whatever man I don't care, as long as I can see the story at the end of the day.

It seems like you'll e able to pick in co-op as opposed to Halo 3's first come first served thing.

Also, Vale was in a book with the Halo 3 co-op guys. They were cool.

Kelly is the best, she's A++

I liked Vale in Hunters in the Dark, but that ending felt so tacked on just as a reason to have her become a Spartan.

I still despise everything about Broadside one being in that story. Havign what essentially amounts to a boss fight kind of ruined it for me. However, her Universe Article sheds some more light on why she was picked. Which is good.

Vale isn't that bad tbh.

-You'll eventually meet an enemy that makes the AR useful, due to how many bullets it can spew.
-Timing grenades is something that you'll eventually not need to think about.  You'll just know exactly how and when they'll go off.
-With that turret situation: CE did a pretty shit job at differentiating "Hold X" and "Press X".  They clean that up in later games.
-Sniper is never useless.  Git gud.
-Been mentioned before, but anything with shields: use plasma.  Anything without: use bullets.  The "noob combo" is hitting someone with an overcharged plasma pistol, and then getting a headshot with a precision weapon (pistol, or the battle rifle in later games).  You can get kills on shielded enemies and players online in less than a second.
-The game's not a puzzle game.  The challenge is in the encounters you have against enemies, and being able to push through them.  The "puzzle" is in finding a way to get to the next area without getting annihilated, which becomes much more noticeable when the enemies only need to look at you to feed you your own balls.
