You will find out who you are not a thousand times, before you ever discover who you are. I hope you find peace in yourself and learn to love instead of hate.

Dark Souls 2's repetitive length is better since NG+ with new items is a thing, more spells/weapons/whatever

but I'll be hard pressed to say the atmosphere and story are better. In fact yeah, they both fall on their asses in DS2 until the DLC comes around.

I have to admit that. Kinda jaded on it though. New Game+ was essentially the place where you started to get cool shit and actual easy access to things. Which made it kind of gay. It's like they built the game and pvp around new game+.

I still think you got cool things on normal game.

It's just a shame they ruined builds in DS2. Which is another thing. PvP matchmaking and all that is better in 2, but they absolutely KILLED builds with soul memory.

Let's also not forget buff souls II. I remember when you could encounter and play pvp in the first souls with people who just used their weapons. It was a clean and interesting fight.

Every single fucking person now has to use buffs up the ass and it's irritating. There isn't even any room to make fun builds because fun builds aren't meant to tank or dish out insane damage.

I hate that they ruined regular weapons to the point where the minimum str and dex requirements are all you need and then you can just go elemental and gain the max damage.

you need to go to blightown
I think that's where I just was. It's that place with all the wooden structures and stuff.
have you killed the gargoyle yet?
I am at new londo ruins after the depths. I dunno what to do there so I traveled up to the firelink shrine to see if I could save but the firekeeper is gone.
well like tru said you can kill him later but if you really want him to stop attacking you then go to bell tower where you fought those two gargoyles and speak to the npc inside the tower, you can buy this thing with souls to reset the dude at firelink
He's dead so yeah.
...Why would you kill him? Why would you kill ANY friendly NPC's unless you literally found out they were killers?
Because you're stuck...

I killed 9/10 characters through my game. I didn't know the concept of allies in battle, because I had killed all who offered their help.

"flaming nipple chops"-Your host, the man they call Ghost.

To say, 'nothing is true', is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say, 'everything is permitted', is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic.

So you're solution to being stuck is to kill people who help you out? How do you not understand the concept of allies in battle? If someone talks to you and doesn't attack you, maybe they have something to say. This isn't just Dark Souls, it's any game.

Yes, and maybe they also have cool gear that I used throughout the whole game.

Spoiler
Looking at the guy who praises the sun.

Funny story about me killing people so quickly:
I had just come out of a lot of battles, and I had like no health left, and no estus flasks, but I talked to this guy, and then I attacked him and won. I used his body armour for the rest of the game.

I had nothing special on me. My main gear was: armour of "Solair"- is that his name? - Gauntlets and boots of whatever, Zweihandr from start to finish, and then varying second weapons, and varying shields.

I only let two NPCs live. Ay Zwimae guy, and the guy above the ghost church in Anno Londo

Easiest boss battle was the dreaded Smough and Ornstein. I can't believe people thought they were hard. I died like 3 times, but I realized how to beat them after the first time. The other times I died was from nervousness.

But I guess in the end -- Sort of feels like everyday its harder to stay happy where you are. There are all these ways to look through the fence into your neighbor's yard.

Why even risk it? its safer to stay distant.

Does it really matter?

I'm not talking about Dark souls here, I'm talking about your obliviousness towards how you're spiteful.

I'm not really talking to you, please leave; you're irrelevant in my life and I just don't feel the need to waste my time with trash like you.

That's the thing; that's the problem. You're not talking to anyone when you write your replies. All you're doing is skimming the OP's title, maybe the OP itself, and then you type whatever your thought process has led you to. You're out of the loop.

Okay

Killing them for their gear for cosplaying is actually understandable. I wouldn't do it first playthrough (or do it right before NG+ so you can get it :P), but yeah.

It's most likely already been stated, but just go speak to Oswald after defeating the Gargoyles. I'd say to just leave it or kill him if you're able, though; aside from minor tid bits of lore he's a fairly unimportant character, and the cost of absolution isn't really worth it until you've access to Sen's Fortress.

But if you're serious, spend the souls to absolve yourself of sin (which you certainly should do before entering Anor Londo) and he'll return to be friendly again.
