If I'm not here, I'm doing photography. Or I'm asleep. Or in lockdown. One of those three, anyway.

The current titlebar/avatar setup is just normal.
Just because Valve dropped it doesn't mean it wouldn't get produced.

It just means it'll have a smaller audience, which seeing as it's trying to attract a certain theme people aren't comfortable with anyway would only have a negligible affect on sales.

Those who want the game could still get it elsewhere, and it doesn't make Valve look like it's supporting mass murders to the average person/ crazy anti-game radical.

Valve is by far the dominant PC market. Games live or die based on if they get on there.
They already admitted that it broke no rules, that they don't want to be moral arbiters, and that it was a mistake to remove it.

They apologized. Its been replaced. I really don't get why people keep trying to defend it after the fact.
Kinda surprised how many people on here are more than happy to have major platforms like this censor games for 'moral' reasons. Especially since those same reasons can be used to censor games you do like.

Your first statement isn't strictly true, look at Minecraft which had no financial backing, advertisement or endorsement at all. Games shouldn't need the backing of a large PC games companies to have a market in the first place, they need to be good. Unfortunately that's not how the market works (See any current AAA title that has issues), but if the game wasn't going to draw in a profit and survive on it's own without Valve's help because it was crap, or the theme is for a niche market rather than a target audience, why should it be supported at all?
