hey
Also Class, if you reach the end of the game and change your mind about how you feel about the game so far, I implore you to try an entirely pacifist playthrough
if I do I'll uninstall/reinstall it, since this game can apparently detect what you did before resetting it

which, you know, defeats the whole purpose of a reset
Breaking the fourth wall is part of the writing that makes it good
Oh I love it when games break the fourth wall, but usually just when it's a different line or subtle poke at the player

but I read that if you do the genocide route, you can't get the pacifist ending on your second playthrough. Which is just straight up retarded.
It makes perfect sense though given what happens in the genocide playthrough, it really is completely different

No they lie, you easily can. It only changes one thing and it's at the very very very very end scene and it doesn't effect anything AT ALL other than implications.

You can easily go pacifist after that.
well if I play the game again I'll probably do the genocide route instead of just killing everyone I come across

and if the game is good enough to make me want to play it twice, I'll probably end up doing pacifist the third time

But when you reset a game, you're going back in time. What you did never happened. That's literally the definition of a reset.

or buy it

degenerates
If I like it, then I will. I have never played a game like this before and suspect there is a good chance I won't enjoy it. If I feel it's worth my money, I'll get it legit. But until then, I'm not going to commit my cash to Abstract Indie Game #2541 in the hopes that it doesn't disappoint and that I'll actually put some time into it rather than uninstall it half an hour in.
i don't have to tell you about the law, but your consumer wariness does not justify theft, sorry
Legally speaking not theft and a legal grey zone that is not criminally prosecuted and doesn't pose risks for the mere downloaders. I don't see many issues with this, really.
Perhaps not outside the US, but here, it's definitely illegal.
And it should be.

Morally speaking, there's just no way out of it--it's a bad thing to do.

If the creator didn't want money for it, he would've released it for free.

Nah, both have good runs.

Though I'd recommend Pacifist after this one, and THEN genocide because then genocide will be more of an impact to you, because it references things you won't understand unless you do it.

Genocide, and the difficulty of it, are meant for final runs more or less. Clearly not first time through.

Wait, I just now realised...

The change in your profile is referencing Sans... you know.
I'm, like, trying to not post any spoilers and stuff even though this thread is pretty lenient regarding that but that doesn't stop me from being a considerate person and stuff... whatever
You fight him
Again, just hiding stuff that could be considered a spoiler
at the end of a Genocide run.

Also I'm a boxfag. The box is the best part of buying a game.
We have a fundamental disagreement then. I'd rather actually, ya know, play it.
to be fair, she said it's the best part of buying the game

it's not that she'd rather not play it--she just considers the box an essential part of it

and so do i, but... not nearly to the same extent as her
she won't even play a physical game if she doesn't own the box for it yet  ::)

His eyebrows sparkling, his white beard hangs down to his chest. The thatched mats, spread outside his chise, spread softly, his splendid attos. He polishes, cross-legged, his makiri, with his eyes completely absorbed.

He is Ainu.

The god of Ainu Mosir, Ae-Oine Kamuy, descendant of Okiku-Rumi, He perishes, a living corpse. The summers day, the white sunlight, unabrushed, ends simply through his breath alone.
We have a fundamental disagreement then. I'd rather actually, ya know, play it.
Which is why I'll probably cave in and buy it before the physical version eventually releases.

I also tend to buy physical music as well, actually. I have a stack of thirty-something CDs and a few vinyls sitting on my shelf at the moment, excluding all the others I have packed away somewhere and in my car. I never really feel like I own something unless I can physically touch it.

let me put it this way

everything that makes the game great--everything that's making the game so popular

you're purposely skipping out on it
because of your preconceived notions of how a game should work

So let me get this straight - in order to enjoy this game, I have play it 2-3 times?

I don't have time for that....I very rarely replay games.

It's not about preconceived notions, it's that I don't want to be playing the same game all Autumn.

i suppose you could just play it once, and then look up the other playthroughs on youtube, or something

if you cared, which you don't

I just thought this was an old school style choice based, story driven game

but it's sounding more like a meta jerkoff with one clear "moral" choice and one "bad" choice.

Your post count indicates otherwise, but that's beside the point.

It's not even a very long game. Subsequent playthroughs are much quicker since you probably won't stop to look at everything like most do on their first run.
