There's only a small, small handful of games I would give anything higher than an 8/10, so this list is only gonna have five. I just haven't played that many GOOD games that I'd feel comfortable making a top ten of.

5. Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil. (9.5/10) - beautiful game with a lot of heart, but it's too easy and relatively short
4. LittleBigPlanet. (9.75/10) - the one thing preventing this from getting a perfect score is the DLC
3. Super Mario World. (10/10) - part of my "holy trinity" of games, this is the greatest platformer of all time
2. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. (10/10) - this is the greatest adventure game of all time
1. Super Metroid. (10/10) - this is the greatest game of all time

and by "of all time" i mean, of all the games i've ever played

Characters were extremely well done. Story was gripping. Every encounter felt like an intense struggle due to how strong the enemies were and how scarce supplies were. Music was great. Even multiplayer was fun and unique. Everything just fit for a great game.

Its all subjective anyway. I wouldn't put skyrim anywhere near a top 10 list, but other people really enjoyed it.
