Yeah. There's a guy on /tfg/ who was datamining the update to bring proper patch notes. There's also Relic listed as an upcoming map among a bunch of gametypes incuding Co-op Bounty Hunt (essentially Frontier Defence 2.0) and Marked for Death.

Also like five new maps.

Continuing the theme of tactical ability-themed executions, Curb Check uses the grapple hook

Northstar and Legion Prime

Prime Titans to purchase for Northstar and Legion. Plus some other cosmetics to buy.

+Free trial from March 30th to April 3rd, granting unlimited multiplayer access plus access to missions Pilot's Gauntlet and The Beacon. Access to those campaign missions will be unlimited after the trial ends, too.

Also, Colony 24/7 Playlist + roadmap for future content in april.

No

I exagerate. Titanfall 2 isn't actually a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, but it has plenty of design choices that I and quite a few others feel make it inferior gameplay-wise to the original, and it makes the MultiPlayer utterly unbearable to me. Most people aren't so disturbed by it though and if you aren't one of the few people who stuck with the original, you will probably find everything fine.

Furthermore Respawn is just an amazing company despite the gripes I have with TF2s design. They have given so much to players for free, avoided microtransactions even when they could have easily done so with certain mechanics in both games, and their community interaction is great. One of the devs does an adorable animation series called Titan Toons on YouTube. Several of them have channels where they upload animation samples and such, and the Official Respawn YouTube channel is currently doing a let's play of the Campaign with commentary about the game's development.

That said, if I ever find out you run A-Wall and the Devotion in the game, I find you, come to your home and dissect your kneecaps.

Monarch Reigns Update - May 30th

Monarch’s design is based on the salvaged, badly burnt remains of two Vanguard-class Titans recovered by the IMC from the Battle of Typhon. While the Vanguard-class was designed by the Militia for armed recon deep behind enemy lines, the IMC’s mandate for Monarch focused on flexibility through survival and support options, to serve many operational roles.

Although Vinson Dynamics was unable to reverse-engineer and replicate key aspects of the original Vanguard design, they brought their own R&D innovations when creating Monarch. One of these innovations is her Upgrade Core, which allows her to improve her combat abilities during a battle, based on options set by her Pilot. Monarch also has an impressive ability to draw power from enemy Titans to recharge her own shields, or the shields of her friendly Titans. Despite the IMC and Vinson Dynamics’ efforts to maintain secrecy, several shipments of early Monarch production variants invariably leaked onto the black market, allowing mercenary Pilots and independent manufacturers across the Frontier to discover her true potential.

Map Update - Crash Site

- Passover of collision has resulted in over 100 collision issues being sorted out and smoothed out
- 8 zipwires and new wallrun locations added to help with going F A S T

New Execution - Now You See Me

This execution uses Cloak, in keeping with tactical-themed executions we've had for Phase Shift, Stim, Grapple and Pulse Blade. Details unknown, we'll have to wait for the trailer to see it in action.

They're rotating stuff like M4D and Titan Brawl regularly so that they don't split the already small population. Plus it keeps the game modes fresh - I'll usually hop on for a few games of Nitro, Brawl or Marked but I always go back to Attrition after a while. Rotating them means that the playlists won't run out of people.

Plus, I found that Brawl was fun but a meta quickly established - Ion, Ronin and Tone were objectively the best Titans. Legions get shut down by Ions, Scorch is too situational and relies on enemies wanting to preserve their one life for area control and Northstar just isn't effective to the same degree she is in LTS. Plus, the map design doesn't really cater to it too well.

Just Titans and just Pilots gets kind of boring. Titanfall is at its best when both are in the mix.
