Have you guys noticed the box art for Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 are VERY similar? Just noticed it myself.
Quote from: Flee on January 27, 2017, 06:28:10 PMDoes anyone actually use the grenadier weapons? They seem pretty useless compared to the rest. Also, two of my biggest complaints:- Doing damage to titans does not give points.- Weapon balance making it so that there's really no point in picking different weapons than a select few. For example, why pick any other LMG than the Devotion when it does more DPS, has a higher fire rate, is equally good in close quarter situations and has practically zero recoil? They did a good enough job making all weapons viable enough, but some being objectively better in pretty much every single way is a bit disappointing. If you're a meta hemlok/ devotion abusing faggot then yeah the grenadier weapons are bad but they're all completely useable aside from the cold war.Sidewinder is a 2HK against pilots and does moderate damage against Titans - good for an LTS primary.Softball is great fun to use and surprisingle effective. It's a 1HK if you stick someone with it and otherwise a great spammy explosive weapon (My most efficient one). Also great for clearing squads of infantry in attrition and bounty hunt.EPG-1 is a 1HK against pilots and pretty fun to use, from my little experience outside coliseum. Apparently it's decent against Titans.Plus, the GLs' being alright at harassing Titans mean you can equip a sidearm. Hammond P2016 and RE-45 are my favourites but all are decent.

Holy shit, the nerf hit the volt hard. I just got it to regen and wew, that thing feels like it does less damage at a lower fire rate and bullet speed than pretty much anything else. A normal good weapon will eat it up even when it's using damage amplifier.

I honestly more interested in the bug fixes and patch notes for this update than the actual contentAlso the new coliseum map is possibly rivalling 343 for lazy map designWhat even is the deal with coliseum? I think I've gotten like 2 tickets for it and haven't used either. I get that it's just a 1v1 mode, but the fact that you need something this rare to even participate in it seems so strange.

I've always loved stuff like that and put countless hours into Defrag, Wolfenstein: ET trickjumping and Quake jumps. I even made awesome trickjumping videos way back then, lol.

Quote from: Dietrich Six on February 08, 2017, 02:52:05 PMI never could get into quake, I wish I had though. Read an article recently about how it wasn't a simple progression model like CoD but that you get better at the game itself.I've always liked games that have high skill ceilings and allowed players with enough time to excel and become legend ™.I think I'll be playing titanfall for a while.Yeah, you definitely should've. It's such a great game. As far as I know, no other FPS has such a high skill ceiling. Brilliant movement too. Its movement is similar to Titanfall, aside from the wallrunning and boosts like stim or the grappling hook, only with more control and advanced strafing, bouncing and jumping techniques. Quake 3 came out in 1999 and there's still yearly world championships of people just trying to get through new maps as fast as possible. The movement alone is so versatile and high skilled that it created an entire scene of racing/trickjumping just around it. Definitely give these two clips a watch, they're short and a pretty good example of what it's like. It looks surprisingly easy, but every jump has to be timed perfectly and the mouse movements are extremely precise to build speed while strafing. YouTubeYouTubeProbably the reason I've taken a liking to Titanfall too.
