Once you get to the point where you can explore the galaxy and do all the side quests it gets really fun. I love reading the codex stuff and I really enjoy the Mako sections.

Mass Effect 1 took me a while to get into because I got lost on the first visit to the Citadel and gave up for a while. Then I got really into it.

The game feels like a throwback of sorts to old sci fi shows with the film grain and retro-ish sounding music, feels like a tv show I'd watch on a Saturday morning on the sci fi channel and I love it.

i'm moving on to mass effect 2 now

when i was a bit younger i said 2 was my favorite of the trilogy, we'll see if that still holds up

Despite the janky ass cover system working only half as intended and those goddamn asari commandos on Novaria, ME1 was an overall more enjoyable experience for me than 2, which is easily the low point in the series imo.

The angel agreed to trade a set of white wings for the head of another demon. Overjoyed, the demon killed one of his own and plucked the head right off its still-warm body.

The angel then led the demon to heaven, where he underwent centuries of the cruelest tortures imaginable. Finally, the pain was so great that he lost consciousness - at which point his dark wings turned the promised shade of white.
Sheesh i wouldnt go for achievements in that even if i was paid. Felt like a unfinished, rushed tech demo.
