Hmm...
Halo 2 online multiplayer was enough to hook me, but the anniversary campaign, new forge items/features, and Halo 5 beta had me completely gaga.

And it's also the first and only (as of yet) Halo on Xbox One. My 360 was starting to seem a little stale...

This is why Microsoft never learns anything.

No one votes with their wallets anymore. :/
I am. I completely approve of Halo 2 Anniversary with a lot of other cool shit added onto it (which is what I consider the MCC) and so I'm going to buy it and play the hell out of it because it's something I will enjoy for...dare I say years?

But I can't play Halo 2 online in 60fps and 1080p.....

The fact that people actually give a shit about framerate being 60FPS just shows that no one gives a fuck about gameplay anymore in this day and age.
>People care about 60fps
>Don't care about gameplay

Framerate directly affects gameplay. Especially an FPS game.

I don't recall fucks like you complaining about framerate when Halo 3 was out.
So people aren't allowed to want something that improves a game now? Some dev you are.

Oh no. I didn't say that framerate doesn't matter period. Because if framerate drops past 30, your game chugs and has issues functioning. You at least want it at 30.

What I'm saying is, people seem to focus more on the framerate than the actual gameplay these days.

30 frames is playable, so their shouldn't be any complains. Yes 60 frames is better but that doesn't make 30 frames a terrible game.

A Holographic Sight that is used in a traditional ADS fashion is from Halo 2?
The zoom feature, not the change of sight/scope.
Yes, it is still a magnification. Thing is, that it's a gimmicky magnification that has no conceivable reason for being implemented other than to attract the CoD-type player.
Something is different? It's obviously done to attract CoD players. - Assassin11D7
Really? So, why would they change something like that in a way that requires an animation that takes the dev team more time to do, adds clutter to the zoomed in screen, and offers no positive on a whim? What other reason is there? If you disagree, then clearly you have a well-founded reason to oppose me, right? Let's hear it.
Because they can. That's literally the only reason needed.
And the new zoom takes up as much of the screen as the old BR does.

You're thinking Destiny and CoD (which I hear the latter was kind of good, but I still don't care for the series). I love Halo. I've loved Halo since Halo 2, which was my first real FPS experience after Goldeneye on the N64.

They haven't tricked me into anything. I watched the videos and read the articles and I'm stoked because it's fucking Halo 2 in HD!, not because it was hyped. I'll probably end up ruining this disk from playing it so often, like I did to my old Halo 3 disk after playing it every day after school and on weekends.

This shit is the ultimate LAN party game and it's more of a social experience than Destiny will ever be. Shit is going to go down in custom games with MCC and it will be incredible. Why aren't you on board with this?

Can't believe you fell for it. XD

I obviously knew this was gonna piss of anyone that bought it, I just wanted to see just how many.

That right there is true trolling.

Though you can save a lot of money just by buying the older releases and playing it on the 360, but it's obvious that the MCC is what someone would want in this day and age.

There's just no alternative it seems. I wouldn't mind if this was out on the PC or at least was a time exclusive.

I'm not in the mood to buy a whole new console for it.

Because it's on a console that I cannot support nor would I want to spend my money on.

I doubt their would ever be a PC release of this anyway. Plus, the idea of buying it just to buy a whole new console wouldn't be the smartest decision for me.

The main selling point is going to be Halo 2 for it obviously.

Oh well, at least I still have Halo 2 PC to enjoy.

Halo 4 when it launched, then maybe. Halo 4 now is a lot different than when it launched.
Halo 5 is an equal starts arena shooter, something which is nothing like CoD.

Don't really care.  Halo 2 and 3 were my favorite games to play online, and my options are either play them at improved framerates/resolutions with an active online community, or play a version where I'm lucky to play against a bunch of Mexican hostbooters.

Your claim isn't even logical to begin with. Changing something to make it look new doesn't mean in the slightest that it was done to appeal to CoD players.
It's an aesthetic design choice. Simple as that.

The FOV is the same, so it's not taking up more space.

An aesthetic design choice that 100% mirrors how it functions in CoD and other modern FPS games. So, that has absolutely no correlation at all, and couldn't possibly have been a leading factor that caused 343i to make that change?

It's blocking part of the screen. The edges of the scope/sight are blocking parts of the screen.

Yes, and being able to see the sides of the sights is screen clutter, which equals taking up more space.

An aesthetic design choice that still functions exactly how it has always functioned. But by your logic, they would have done the same to every other weapon, which they didn't.

It blocks just as much as the screen as the old BR zoom does.

"flaming nipple chops"-Your host, the man they call Ghost.

To say, 'nothing is true', is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say, 'everything is permitted', is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic.
I think you need another break.

I think people like you need to vote with your wallet more often and not spend money on this cash cow.
Why you mad though?

^ And that's just the tip of the ice berg.

The old BR didn't have the sides of a scope/rds in the FoV. Mainly because, you were actually zoomed in through a scope, not the camera zooming in.

And I'm sorry, if you really think that something like that is done on a freakin' whim, then I don't think you have a clue what you're talking about.
The FOV of the new BR is the same as the FOV of the old BR regardless of being able to see the sides of the scope.

What are you trying to say exactly? Well, they did make it so you have an ADS animation for every weapon in the game they've shown off thus far, so...

This is the old zoom   +

This is the new zoom  [ + ]

One has more things on the screen. Take a guess.

That it's simply a aesthetic design change to something that functions exactly the same as it always has.
They made it so there's a zoom function on every weapon instead of some weapons. None of them have ADS like CoD or BF.

4 games at 1080p 60fps
Multiplayer for a game that was disconnected a few years ago
Halo 1 playable online for console
Forge revamped to what fans have asked for
100 multiplayer maps on one disc
Remastered and updated campaign with terminals
Access to H5 beta so 343 learns what to improve a year ahead
New mini series

Yeah, TOTALLY wasting money, because The Last of Us totally was worth getting again when it was only one game with no changes, at the same cost with the MCC

FYI, TLoUR wasn't $60. Plus it had all DLC.

Just saying.
