What I find hilarious is that these loonies are so insufferable that they're basically Internet Rohingya now: Reddit hates them, Tumblr hates them, 4chan trolls them, and even shitholes like GameFAQs said "Fuck off we're full." I can only guess that their mods banned so many people for wrongthink that it finally caught up with them in the end.

Didn't they require you to sign up with an official / verifiable email so that you're no longer anonymous to some people there?

They required a private email such as a school or work email. Yahoo or gmail won’t work. It keeps people from making dozens of account easily.
