Star Wars: Battlefront is coming Holiday 2015, Electronic Arts has announced.EA CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed the news during an investor relations call today. Battlefront is EA's big holiday blockbuster, and as such, the next Battlefield game won't arrive until Holiday 2016.
Still waiting for Bad Company 3.
I hope to god Battlefront is good. Please, let it be good.
"This allows us to have a major first-person shooter title each year," -DICE better not scrap a third person perspective, or god help their souls...
Unless the next Battlefield game is sci-fi like 2142 or Battlefront I don't see that game lasting at all next to Battlefront. I think it's safe to say if it's another generic modern game in anyway hardly anybody is going to play it when there's Battlefront.
Rarely we see a major game released in December. I'm speculating November, and it will tease a few things from Ep. VII. Ten years in the making..."This allows us to have a major first-person shooter title each year," -DICE better not scrap a third person perspective, or god help their souls...
Where does hardline fit into all this

I see a 2143 in the near future.
I swear to fucking god if Battlefront is packed full of DLC & microtransaction bullshit!

Since they released a DLC like that then they must have released that the modern setting is stale and all used up.
Quote from: BritishLemön on October 28, 2014, 05:45:41 PMI swear to fucking god if Battlefront is packed full of DLC & microtransaction bullshit!I think it's safe to say it will. Like at Battlefield 1942. For launch maps that game had at least 2 dozen of them. For online wise there are maps that you can't play with the AI. Then there's the 2 DLC that adds some more maps. So the majority of the maps are launch maps. Then with the modern Battlefield games we get shit for maps and the majority of them are DLC. So I think it's safe to say that bullshit is going to happen with Battlefront. So the maps that were included in Battlefront 2 are going to be DLC for Battlefront.

Or I'll go into to EA's fucking HQ and slit all of their throats with a broken battlefront disc.

Here's the excuse they would probably make: in mutiplayer the player using a third person view has an advantage over someone in first, because they would see a wider field of view. edit- Baconshelf says it's already confirmed for both views
