Goodness gracious, great balls of lightning!
Well, what is to keep in mind is that in the game industry AI is trying to simulate intelligence. So it's all smoke and mirrors.

Shame about the AI intelligence though.
The AI in Starcraft 2 is pretty smart. They're even programmed to say "GG" if they're about to lose.

Again, it's the illusion that it's smart. It's just more successful into giving that illusion. (You can check on any AI for game development textbook)

um, i don't think anyone is under the impression that the "intelligence" is real, and not just illusory

they're just pointing out that some illusions are clearly better/worse than others
to say that it's all "smoke and mirrors" is tautological

So was the marine AI in Halo CE designed to accidentally run over Chief if they drive a Ghost?

I don't know how the code works, so it's all speculation, but if I had to release the game quickly (it's also mentioned somewhere in a vidoc that the AI code for Halo CE was just a file with comments for a long time) then it seems easy to overlook that since Marines tend to stay around Chief wherever allowed to do so, they might want to stay around Chief like some sort of magnets. That's why the Marines get on the Warthog when you drive it up to them or to a range which they "engage" the Chief and approach him. (That also is when they send you messages like random gestures or say something to the Chief, and to each other) Probably, there's no reference to the Ghost, and Marines still behave that way, thinking that they can stay close to the Chief, or driving to the Chief, or maybe ignoring the Chief altogether.

It's also very well possible that it was intentional to encourage the player to use the vehicles.

So was the marine AI in Halo CE designed to accidentally run over Chief if they drive a Ghost?

Joining into a multiplayer game where the teams you join has a hilariously and painfully low score and the enemy team only needs two kills(Destiny: Fuck you Shaxx, I hope the Darkness rapes your corpse).

Pressing the counter button in a fight, but the character still gets hit like an idiot( Assassin's Creed Unity, Batman Arkham Origins(and only Origins, I guess the different team fucked up there)).

That happened to me once in Black Ops 2 when I joined late during a Team Deathmatch game.

The other team needed just 2 kills to win while my team needed 12 more to win.

I won the game by getting all 12 kills in a row for my team. I thought I'd hear some trash talk in the lobby after the match but nobody had their mic plugged in.

I hear everybody here gets 25 kills and no deaths in deathmatches and here I am struggling at best.

Well CoD is relatively easy to play because there's hardly any skill involved.

My best match in any CoD was 79-5 during a game of Domination in MW2.

Jacob Potila was actually a Jacob Flotilla of lies.- WarTurkey
When you're doing a multi battle with your friend in Pokemon, and they faint. Rather than being able to send out your own Pokemon in their place, you are stuck with an empty spot next to you and it turns into a 2v1 gank.
ooohhh this so much
Complete. And utter, Bullshit. I still don't see why Gamefreak has adressed it. :/

Invincible children. I get why they do it rating and press wise.
Just annoys me and is really unrealistic when one group is immune to any damage for no explained reason.

We kinda have this weird line where murdering fake digital adults by the thousands is perfectly fine and acceptable, but punching a fake digital kid is super wrong.
