The only reason I can feel like it's justified is because free DLC maps.
I still cringe at the thought of pay for REQ packs, though. I won't care if I can unlock by other means, though.

All the dlc is free and only cosmetic items can be used in arena mode. Also you earn req points through Regular play

I don't really see much of an issue, and they're not charging us for those extra 15 maps so I think that adding it in is a reasonable way to make up the cost.

The DLC is free, so we knew they were going to add microtransactions in some way.
The good thing is that it's only for Warzone, and the arena is completely unaffected by this.

I want to say that the Halo community isn't filled with idiots who buy this shit, but we know that's not the case.

This system is handled pretty well.
Nobody actually has a direct advantage over anyone.

i was okay with it until i read that you can purchase the REQ packs w/ real money "for convenience". while i don't like it, it's reasonable (and fair) to have features that you can unlock w/ in-game currency, since it just promotes more gameplay. but being able to buy those same features w/ real money just feels like a cash grab...

not that it matters too much; i don't have an xbone and don't plan on getting one so i won't be getting or playing Halo 5.

It seems fair IMO concidering the nature of Warzone and the fact that the DLC is free....
