Samus is shit, ZSS is great. It's hard to establish a tier list when we're going to get several characters next month, despite them most likely not being admitted to tournaments for a few months due to balance concerns. Same happened with Mewtwo and Lucas despite both being shit.

Sheik >= ZSS > Diddy > the rest which is subjective

It's not easy to determine a tier list. You could look at tournament results but it doesn't paint the full picture.

i remember when i thought like this

knowing how to use the worst character in the game properly doesn't make it a good character

The F2000 in MW2 was statistically the worst gun in the game because of its insane recoil and ridiculous rate of fire compared to other weapons. I used that gun for a while and mastered it, beating the other guns that are supposed to be better than the F2000 that people used. It became one of my favorites after that.

Tier lists are bad and you should feel bad.

you see, this "tiers don't exist" mentality is toxic to competitive gaming because it hinders progress--i think you could at least agree that it's important to know the best possible strategies your chosen character has against other characters, yes? otherwise, you're going to have a difficult time winning any games

if your character struggles against 70% of the entire cast, let's say because he's extremely slow and easy to combo, then it could be said that you are playing a "low tier" character

tiers aren't perfect, of course--they're estimations based on empirical data (tournament results), and when new strategies are found, tiers tend to shift--kinda like how new scientific developments are made every day

with tiers, no one's saying you're a bad player for using a bad character--if anything, sticking with low tiers is rather respectable, because it shows perseverance--and everybody likes an underdog

so it's not like, just because X character is the best in the game, you have to pick that character
it's just saying, "this character has the best and most varied options against the rest of the cast"

No, she's just better in Melee than she was in SSB. And she's better in Brawl than she was in Melee.

But she's never been "good".

Some just have more lag, take a few frames longer to do something, etc. Which ultimately makes it less viable than someone faster and stronger
