So, I just got a full refund on AC:Unity (Digital)

I don't know why I keep buying Assassin's Creed games, since I haven't enjoyed most of them. But I thought "Hey, maybe Unity will be less glitchy and unresponsive than the last games."

Anyways, I initially went to the Playstation chat to see if they could refund me. I told them the reason I wanted a refund was because the game was shit and that this was the third time this year I've been fucked over by these digital downloads (Watch_Dogs, Destiny and now Unity). They basically told me to go fuck myself. I then asked them to cancel my Uncharted 4 pre-order and to inform me of the closest place to buy an Xbox One.

A few hours later, I tried a different approach. I started up the chat and told them that my "son" had pre-ordered the game without my permission, and that I wanted to request a refund.

Long story short, I have $140.00 in my Playstation account to spend on MGSV and Arkham Knight.

At least now I can go ahead and buy the MCC this weekend. I was hoping Unity would hold me over until ORAS, but I guess not.

I doubt it works for stuff like microtransactions but if you have been ripped off by a game on steam/PSN/XBL you can get a refund through it.

Except it isn't. Aside form the occasional framrate hiccup, Unity is probably one of the best AC titles I've played. Combat is challenging, customization is detailed, and the open-ended concept to missions is fantastic

The same can be said of piracy, which is a hell of a lot easier than going to the trouble of getting a refund.

What it's used for is to protect customers from shitty products screwing the consumer rather than the producer. If people want a refund of AssCreed Unity they should be bloody well able to get one, same goes for Battlefield 4 when that launched as a mess.

Returning a defective product isn't stealing from the company that made it.
