Should I get MGSV for 360 this December?

hey
Still not disagreeing with you.
A much better comparison would have been 720p vs 1080p. The human eye barely registers the difference.
Eeehh, that depends on screen size/distance from screen

My phone for example, I'm gonna have a hard time telling the difference between 720 and 1080, but on my desktop/laptop I could easily tell the difference

On my TV I probably won't notice it so much since I sit further away from it

I agree with the sentiment but the original comparison was bad.
30fps isn't going to stop me from buying a video game.

If possible, I'd say hold out until you can get it on PS4/X1/PC. The graphical difference is really nice, and MGO will have more people.

But if you wanna just play now, then sure get it on your current system. Really well optimised.

daily reminder that OoT is considered one of the GOATs and runs at 20fps
That was way back in 1998, which was over 15 years ago. Did it age gracefully? I like to think so, yes, seeing as I can still enjoy playing it.

Should you hold it as a standard for advocating frames? I don't think so. In all forms of media, as technology advances, so should the consumers expectations.

i'm just saying

i'm not saying it should be the standard
it's just a shining example of why i just don't give a fuck about a game's frame rate

I think people letting it decide if it's a buy or no buy is silly (I have a friend who freaked over Dark Souls 3 being 30 frames and not 60), but I think it is just a nice thing added on.

It's like having your cake and eating it too. Plus it fits some games better than others for sure, especially games with quick reaction.

for me, it's like getting a free pencil at the end of a presentation
like, "...uh, thanks?"

what you said earlier is something i can agree with entirely, though
if your game has a lot of frame-skipping and shit, then that's actually a problem that should be fixed

because that's actually something that affects the overall quality of the game
consistency is all i need

which is better

I'm just saying MGSV is more enjoyable at 60 fps than 30

the last gen versions are pretty disgusting not just framerate

EDIT: jfc 20-30 fluctuating is digusting. I mean I play it on PC so it's locked 60 unless "effects" get in the way of the camera.

Except 30fps is better.

Yeah, you might not care for 60fps and think it's superfluous, but there's a point where it does matter. Below 30fps is where it begins to matter.

Or if it's 60fps and it dips down to the 40's and 30's constantly.

that too

locked 30 or bust
60 dropping the odd couple of frames is as acceptable as it gets
